About this house rental
The Sea Glass House is an oceanfront paradise with private access to pristine snorkeling/diving. Located in quiet surroundings, where you can hear the serenity of the waves crashing beneath you and savor the aromatic smell of the sea air. The best beaches are only 15-20 minutes away, with supermarkets and restaurants nearby.
The space
Our home is located on a coral cliff with a beautiful view of the ocean and coastline. Incredible coral reef right at your doorstep and the Playa Hundu dive site. The villa is built with an open concept to take advantage of the amazing oceanfront views. There is a fully equipped kitchen. Each of the three bedrooms have an en-suite bathroom. There is a little outdoor bar and BBQ area with exposed coral for entertaining or just hanging out. Outdoor shower and washroom. Property managers are only a few doors down.

Guests can utilize entire house and the private access to the ocean with a grotto!
Interaction with guests
Property Managers live in the neighbourhood and are at your service 24 hours a day

The island of Curaçao is a very special place to visit with its rich history as a UNESCO World Heritage Site - there are only 6 of these in the Caribbean.
Curaçao has the perfect climate for the unique nature and wildlife to be found here. Prepare to meet tropical animals, colorful birds, a variety of fishes and rare creatures. There are no poisonous animals on the island. The Landscape, flora and fauna here are very diverse. Curaçao has mountains, cacti, palm trees and is famous for aloe vera and other herbal & healing plants. Whether you walk on the beautiful beaches, climb the Christoffelberg Mountain or drive around the inlands and the national parks, you will be surrounded by the beautiful aspects of nature of the island.
Discover the water sports and activities, play a round of golf at the world class golf courses, go for a sunset sailing cruise to Klein Curacao, or enjoy an ATV tour. Dive and snorkel the incredible coral reefs, take a mountain bike and discover Christoffelpark, or enjoy a nice horse riding tour during sunset. Dirk and Inge were wonderful. We had a few small electrical problems when we arrived and Dirk stayed right on it until everything was fixed. The house is right on the water with a spectacular view and direct access for snorkeling. There is a named dive site (Playa Hundu) that is close enough to see from the terrace. We visited this to dive and snorkel and it is an excellent site. The snorkeling in front of the house is the best that we saw during our stay.

We enjoyed that we had not neighbors for 5 of the 9 days we were there. The porch was fun in the evening to watch the falling stars and storms over the ocean

First off, this place was beautiful with probably the best snorkeling on the island. But there are some things people need to know before staying here. Read the fine print and find out if they are going to charge any for electricity. If they are allowing 15kw per ac unit per day, that allows you 60kw per day. Realistically, in a weeks time, if you only run the bedroom units at night when youre sleeping and only run the living room ac for an hour or 2 per day when youre hanging out at the vrbo, youll probably spend anywhere from $0 to $50 extra per week. When we were there the timer on the dryer was broken and we didnt realize it. One day it ran about 5 hours while we were out snorkeling and didnt realize it wouldnt turn off. In that 5 hours it used around 20kwhs. So make sure to pay attention to that. Pay attention to the overflow on the septic tank. If it starts to spill over you need to immediately let the property manager know because it could be days before a vacuum truck can get there,and youll be smelling poo until they do. Id venture to guess its like this for most houses on the island, so you might run into that on any vrbo here. The property manager was awesome and the place was gorgeous. Wed definitely stay here again but just wanted to let everybody know of what they need to be aware of when staying here.
