Lovely, welcoming, relaxing place to stay for a few nights.

This was a lovely place to stay in. Denis has worked really hard to make it friendly, inclusive and sustainable. He is extremely welcoming and we had breakfast with Denis and his wife. We didn't have time to see the garden, woods and animals so we will return to do that. Breakfast was delicious. This is definitely a place to stay for a few nights to explore Tours and the surrounding area. I can't recommend it enough.

Very nice luxurious breakfast together with the hosts an other guests on the terrace. Beautifully decorated rooms and lovely grounds. The animals were fun especially for our son and the guests kitchen with drinks and snacks available to purchase is a nice extra. Very friendly and helpful hosts, good communication and information.

A truly relaxing place to stay

Charming maison with magnificent garden, the host are super kind and welcoming, plus we got to meet okari their cute dog, Oscar and Ernest the lamas, and the petit sheeps and rabbit… everything is very eco-friendly too. We had a great time, a truly relaxing staying.

Very welcoming BnB. We would love to come back

It’s difficult to sum up all the nice things about this BnB. Catherine and Denis are great hosts and they make you feel at home in their beautiful mansion. Their pets are part of the family and love to play with the visitors. We staid in the family room which was very nice and big for our family of five. The garden and the woods in the back are very peaceful and lovely to relax for an hour or two during the day. We only wished we could stay longer.

very special and comfortable place in the heart of the Loire Valley

We were amazed by hospitality of the hosts, homely atmosphere and stylish ambiance of the soulfully renovated old family estate. Children especially pointed out, how they played with inhabited there animals, and tasty breakfasts. The hosts, Denis and Katherine, being interesting and pleasant companions, were sincerely involved in helping us with many things, which was very important for us as for non-French speaking foreigners in France.

A lovely place to stay and would visit again if we are ever in the area.

Beautiful room. Traditional bedroom and super stylish modern bathroom. Lovely garden - our dog loved it for a walk in the morning. Close to Tours but also close to villages and châteaux. Denis is such an interesting person and it was a pleasure to spend some time with him and his wife and other guests over breakfast. We also learnt a lot about Esperanto which was fascinating. We were also guided to a couple of great restaurants nearby which was so helpful. Altogether a great stay - would highly recommend.

Perfectly located in the heart of Val de Loire for all sorts of activities; lovely heritage house of a few centuries, and most importantly hosted by Denis and Catherine that are so warm, so open and so thoughtful that it makes everything just another level of experience.

Excellent! We will definitely be coming back!

Breakfast was very delicious (especially the jam and cake) they welcomed my 16 year old to breakfast at what ever time she got up! The host was extremely welcoming. There are plenty of places to visit nearby and is very near to the cycle track and if you dont feel like leaving there are plenty of places to hang out in the huge garden with the lovely fluffy animals and there is a hob and microwave And fridge to make your own meals.

The family atmosphere, very welcoming host who made us feel part of the family. Fantastic gardens. Our host was very kind to have organised some restaurants for us. Breakfasts were excellent.

An exceptional stay only too short

Secured parking for my motorcycle was great I felt welcome by the hosts who made me feel more like a friend than a guest There was so much history within the house I loved just looking around The breakfasts were opportunities to learn about the local area France even esperanto It was easy to get along speaking English but they were encouraging of my attempts to speak French

Superb Gem.

What a gem of a find. High quality of accommodation in charming charecter house. The refurbishment of our room was to a fantastic standard offering clean modern facilities in a traditional style with charming antique furniture. Dennis, the owner was very welcoming and frankly made our stay. Breakfast was exceptional with home made preseves, bread etc. The site has plenty of free parking and is about 10/15 mins easy drive into the centre of Tours. The grounds of the house offer a quiet retreat if thats what you are seeking. We really could not recommend la closerie de la fuye enough and we'll certainly be returning.

Exceptional

The house is absolutely amazing. We felt in the room like we are sleeping in a french chateaux. The bed was the best we ever had, the room is super specious and it is very quiet...best sleep we had in our month in France. It is an old house that the family took to the 21th century with all of the facilities, a mixture of family history, warmth and comfort. The outside garden is also beautiful. The breakfast was delicious with local cheese and home made gem. We with Dennis, the host, and with the other guests so we could exchange experiences and was lovely. The all family is super nice, and we had a very nice evening with them, and okarry the family dog also bring joy and happiness. We liked it so much, so we continue to another night and we changed our plans. Best hotel in our trip. We definitely come back. And we will recommend it to our friends as well. If you can, book it ASAP :)

Lieu à recommander les yeux fermés, tant pour les lieux que pour l'humanité des propriétaires.

Le petit déjeuner était varié et l'ambiance très conviviale ! Denis et son épouse nous ont merveilleusement bien accueillis. Nous avons appris beaucoup de choses sur le lieu et ses alentours, sur beaucoup d'autres sujets communs aussi :).

Un très agréable séjour.

Nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis dans cette magnifique maison au charme d’antan. Chaque pièce respire l’histoire, et l’ambiance qui s’en dégage est très apaisante. Le petit déjeuner varié pris chaque jour avec nos hôtes, soit dans la salle à manger d’époque, soit dans le très beau jardin lorsque la météo le permet, facilite les rencontres et les conversations entre les invités. Merci à Denis et Catherine pour leur gentillesse, leur disponibilité et ces échanges riches et sincères qui ont ponctué notre passage, sans oublier les chiens Okari et Umi 🐾

Comfortabel verblijf, op een bijzondere plek.

Bijzondere plek met bijzonder aardige host. Denis is behulpzaam, vertelt graag over zijn B&B en serveert een goed ontbijt. De dieren - lama’s, geitjes, kippen, en vooral de lieve honden - bleken een absolute bonus. De kamers en de bedden waren heel comfortabel en er is genoeg te doen in de nabije omgeving. Onze reis kon niet beter beginnen!

Geweldige locatie en hosts! In één woord Amazing! Het huis is geweldig en ademt geschiedenis. Denis kan ook alles vertellen over het huis en de omgeving. De tuin met het enorme bos is geweldig. Buiten ontbijten aan een ronde tafel in het zonnetje. Het kan niet beter. Super beedden, dus ook erg lekker geslapen.

Un séjour inoubliable

L’accueil des propriétaires est exceptionnel. Il y a 4 chambres d’hôtes dans cette demeure vieille de plusieurs siècles mais très confortable Le très copieux petit déjeuner ( avec exquises confitures maison) a lieu autour d’une table commune ce qui favorise les échanges entre les voyageurs et les propriétaires…Un temps fort du séjour !
