Quite location in beautiful countryside, nice and spacious room.

I had a burned bacon in breakfast, I rather had non than being served improperly. I felt like the lady owner was not in her best day to welcome us

Beautiful location, surrounded by nature with access to the woodland estate walks too. The farmhouse is lovely with original features. Loved watching the lambs from our window. Our room was huge! The hosts were welcoming and the breakfast was lovely. They kindly catered for gluten and dairy free which was really appreciated. A great location to explore Ashdown Forest, Brighton and other places.

The only downside when we stayed was the unexpected change of a power line later in the evening, where we were informed the power would be out for about 10minutes, which turned into several hours. It was not the owners fault, but we had a pitch black room and it would have been nice to have been offered a torch or some kind of emergency lighting in this instance.

Ideal for nature enthusiasts . Big bath ! Heard an owl.

The access roads were appalling. Single track potholed with drops by side of track in some stretches , and rocky very bumpy fords to navigate in absolute darkness. All lovely if you want a rural holiday with walks and drive a 4x4 but quite scary for me as a single individual in a small Ford Fiesta driving back and to Burgess Hill. I wanted a property near Haywards Heath and this was the only place available . It was a challenging drive in these unfamiliar roads. Just not ideal for me and I have certainly learnt from this episode to research the actual location of any place I book in the future. Added to my anxieties was the fact that there’s no phone reception. Only on WhatsApp which requires internet connection. ( which was available at the properly ). A nightmare had I had an accident or breakdown or puncture. Future guests need to be aware of challenging roads.
