Perfect stay in Monteriggioni!! 100% recommendation!

Everything was perfect! Beautiful, clean and very well equipped house including laundry machine and a parking spot in the garden. Matheo and his sister were so wonderful and gave us many great tips for trips around Monteriggioni (e.g. Volterra, Siena, San Gimignano)! We absolutely recommend this place, as everything is reachable by car in short time. Thank you very much for this wonderful time

Incredible

Sleeping inside the walls of an actual Castello! Should be enough said. The host Matteo is a legend, he will go above an beyond to make sure you have a lovely stay and don't miss out on any of the Tuscany highlights. The lovely house itself breaths history but is also very comfortable and spacious (and spotlessly clean!). The restaurants right on the Castello's square are great, we tried two and loved both of them (reasonable prices too). Just strolling a couple meters down the medieval square to get home after some lovely evening wine is incredible.

The host Matteo is very nice. He is doing his best to make guest staying pleasant. The place itself is well maintained and in a beautiful environment. The house has everything needed to cook and for staying. Matteo is answering all questions and provide excellent tips abound what there is to do around. The town itself is beautiful although it is small it has few restaurants. Everything was perfect.

Amazing experience

The location is amazing, right in the middle of town. Matteo is an amazing host and will do what he can to ensure you have a great stay. We stayed in the week before Christmas and he had a beautiful Christmas tree set up. The town was quiet but we enjoyed the slower pace and there was a great restaurant open and a bar for morning coffee. He has a private car park and it’s okay to drive in the ZTL zone (we were a bit worried at first- don’t be!) Highly recommend staying in this amazing place!

A very restful stay in a wonderful authentic place, enhanced by a warm and very careful host.

We enjoyed the host, firstly. Matteo has been really warm, welcoming and helpful, giving us the address of an excellent restaurant just 2 minutes walk from the rooms. He told us about Monteriggioni's history and what could be great to discover in the region. Furthermore, he showed himself very implicated in the organisation of my son's birthday, giving us ideas of what to do for that memorable day. On the other hand, the house was very clean, perfectly located in the castle. Matteo had even put a beautiful Christmas tree for the end of year celebrations. We had everything we need, in terms of facility, towels, shampoos. We highly recommend this place for a stay at Monteriggioni. You won't be disappointed neither by the place nor by the extraordinary sympathy of Matteo.

Perfect base for exploring Siena and the surrounding Tuscany countryside.

Matteo‘s house in the Castello is perfectly charming, comfortable, and immaculately clean, with one king bedroom, and two twin beds in the second bedroom, providing an ideal base for our family group of three adults as we explored Siena and the surrounding Tuscany countryside. Matteo is an enthusiastic and friendly host, providing great suggestions for the best local restaurants in the Castello, and nearby sites to explore above and beyond Siena. At his suggestion, we drove to San Galgano, Massa Marittima (with the unique Fonte Dell’Abbondanza fresco), and Castiglione della Pescaia, which proved to be well worth the trip . Being able to come “home“ at the end of a hectic day of sightseeing, to the peace and quiet of Castello di Monteriggioni, and a delicious meal just across the piazza, was just the perfect situation. We would return in a heartbeat!

There was nothing to dislike. Upon our arrival, we had a little trouble with the Internet connection but Matteo was on the spot and quickly had that resolved for us. And when we found that there were no coffee filters for the drip coffee maker, Matteo showed up that very morning with a new box of filters.

we loved everything,It’s located perfectly in square,so convenient for Via Francigena.It is a fully equipped,spotless,large 2 bedroom apartment with a lovely kitchen,large sitting room,2lovely bedrooms and a large bathroom.It also has a little furnished patio The best part is the host Matteo,he is amazing and so helpful.His restaurant recommendations for Monteriggione andSienna superb.He even got his sister to bring us to train station,He got us a hard to find reservation for a Saturday night in Sienna.You will never find a better or more helpful host,Wish I could score 20/10

This place was amazing! The apartment was beautifully furnished and included all amenities. It was also a short walk (less than a minute) to the city center, which included some nice shops, restaurants, and a few bars. The city itself is peaceful and quiet, along with providing a gorgeous view of the Tuscan countryside. Matteo was awesome! He was kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and above all, just a great guy to talk to! If you are considering staying here, I highly recommend it!

Atmosphere in abundance

Very clean, thoughtfully furnished and great character throughout. The facilities were excellent and directions precise . The host , Matteo, was immediately on hand and helped us enormously with parking and great suggestions. Unfortunately we only had one night to spend there, but it would be an excellent base for exploring this wonderful part of Tuscany. Certainly to be recommended. Thank you Matteo!

Arriving in the dark is not easy. Our sat nav took us on a tour of the castle walls, but head straight to the main square and then the property is easy to find. It’s simple once you know.
