Dirty.

We had to leave due to cleanliness issues.

First time in many years and hundreds of apartments and hotels that we've had to leave and report to Booking. Main issue was that it was dirty; both long term issues and ones that meant the previous changeover was just changing the sheets only. Shower was the worst, old hair, black stains etc. Fridge, microwave and kitchen not great. Oddly, when we took this up with Booking who went back to the host, he made up some odd stories about us bringing a large vehicle and being upset that he had to tell us to re-park (didn't happen, maybe he confused us with other unhappy guests, we've got a berlingo, normal car size) and that we'd 'given a low review to damage him' when we hadn't even reviewed yet. Best to read the other low end reviews of this place for a flavour of what it's really like. Host was also grumpy at key handover on arrival answering when we asked how he was on introducing ourselves that he was 'busy' and kind of implied we were a nuisance or late (we were bang on time). WiFi cut out but came back on again. The location is really excellent, such a shame. When we told him about the cleanliness he said that he had 'told us it was smelly due to the previous guests being Indian and cooking Indian food' - the smell was not the problem, and it didn't seem appropriate. He proposed a 50% discount, which we reluctantly accepted as we had to book nearby and pay again. We stayed the 1st night as we read on the reviews that when others complained he came along and told them to leave, and we didn't fancy that. Did not use any of the facilities and slept fully dressed. I suspect his reply will dispute most of this following his comments to Booking. Make sure you read the reviews.

Amazing location, with decent facilities.

The location is fantastic. Set on a quieter part of the lake near the swimming area and near the church island end of the lake. It’s about 30 seconds walk to the lake. There’s also a supermarket right on the corner and a couple of restaurants too. The little outdoor balcony and terrace area outside was welcome and we had two bathrooms and plenty of space. The kitchen facilities were also good and had pretty much everything we needed including a coffee machine.

The apartment could do with a bit of modernising, but it didn’t bother us too much.

Good location next to the lake

Although the room i was allotted dindt have a direct lake view, this is located in a quite prime location Only 30-40m from the lake. Right next to a grocery store so quite convenient to collect some food as well. Wifi was great. Rooms were clean and all conveniences were there.

It was slightly pricey but given the location, it might be worth it. Parking was quite squeezy in front of the apartment. The traffic in Bled is terrible, so it might take some time to reach here.

Great location right next to the lake

The location is fantastic, just 80m from the lake shore swimming area and about a 15 minute stroll into the main Bled area with bars, restaurants etc. we have lovely few days here and being able to cool off in the water was a great plus.

Cheap.

I understand there are three options at this property. I stayed at the studio. I liked the fact that it was so near the lake I could jump in during the morning and night walk with my dog. I liked that they allowed me to stay with my small dog although there was a charge 10 eur per day - no idea what for (no bed, no bowls provided). With such little availability for pet owners, staying here was a neccessity rather than a choice. The area is pet friendly. We were allowed even in the castle and we enjoyed long walks around the lake. Bled is a beautiful place. Heaven.

smelly shower across the hallway with mouldy shower curtain. Apparently a parking space is not automatically assigned to the studio, you better check with the host prior to booking your travel. The host luckily let me park outside the house. It is a super tiny space and you will wash your teeth in the kitchenette. Suitable for smaller people, i bumped and tripped over several times. The bedding is polyester so prepare for a steam session even with ac on. Well it is one of the cheaper options in Bled and you will get your “money’s worth”.

Great location near the lake

Great location - liked being out of the centre of Bled but within a short walk, a couple of restaurants and supermarket close by, very comfortable, friendly hosts, very close to the lake. I was invited by hosts to upgrade my apartment to a larger apartment which was vacant at a very reasonable rate.

Okayish

Kitchen was enough for the days I spent there and the location was great, quiet. Good and comfortable bed.

The bathroom was separated from the apartment, so everytime I needed to go, I had to cross the main lobby where the front door was almost always open to the street… Super uncomfortable during the nights specially, imagine. Also the dorm balcony was very close to the ground floor and the curtains short, so people on the streets could see the inside. And there’s no sink in the bathroom so you need to use the kitchen sink for tooth brushing etc.

Disappointing

Location was very good and close to the lake. Good restaurants and a grocery store near by.

There is construction debris, trash and old appliances around the property. The floors were dirty. AC drains directly on to the deck, dripping and keeping it wet. Coffee maker craft was broken. Bathroom toilet seat was broken and I had to fix it. Mold and mildew in the bathrooms. Master bedroom window is broken, with paper stuck in between the window and the sill. Back door leading to the balcony over the creek is broken. The only way to close it is by using the lock. The latch does not function. Barking dog. In general a lot of deferred maintenance throughout and “hack” fixes to broken items.

Place to stay if you dont mind spending time negotiating with the host

Great location. No big issue with the apartment itself. Free parking in front of the building. ❗️Reply to the property's response: (wrote on 30th Aug 2023) Since I've reached the word limit in the section below I can only write in this section. The host is trying to talk black into white. I've also attached my chat with the host as evidence of what I wrote. ✘ I didn't complain about the check-in instructions at all. However, since you mentioned, I would like to clarify it. I believe that as a guest I can still ask questions about the instructions even though it's clear. But when I called you that day, you replied with a bad attitude. ✘ I never said I would be at the apartment at 17. In the app, I requested check-in between 14:00 and 15:00 and you didn't say anything about the documents beforehand. ✘ I understood the circumstances that you don't live in Bled and the roads were closed, so I agreed to meet the next day. I didn't complain about this at all. It's not my fault as well. you shouldn't blame me for it when you met me on the next day. ✘ For the city tax, I swear that I never ever say that I don't want to pay. I only asked you how much is it and if I could pay by card. ✘ I didn't ask for an extra bill. I asked for "one" bill with both the stay and the city tax. I paid for it and in Booking's regulations, guests have the right to ask for an invoice. I don't understand what's wrong with asking for it. ✘ Lastly, you're not professional at all. I try to be nice when I meet you but I only see the bad manner you have shown toward me. Please be polite and don't lie about what has happened. ✘ Also, I'm not Chinese but Taiwanese.

The check-in was a disaster. ✘ I requested the check-in time 2 months before the stay. The host replied "No problem to check in at the time you ask. Just call me 1 hour before coming." ✘ On the day, I sent two messages before arrival, at 13:00 and 15:00, informing we would arrive around 15:20. The host replied "Park on the right side. I will come at 17:00 when other guests will come." along with check-in instructions. I understood this as he was just telling me I could meet him at 17:00 if I wanted to. ✘ When we arrived, there was already a car parked at where he asked us to park so we had no choice but to park on the left side, which was the only spot left there. I took the key, entered the apartment then went out to have afternoon tea as we had planned already. ✘ At 17:00, he messaged saying he was waiting at the apartment to check my documents. I didn't expect this at all because he didn't say anything about meeting in person or checking documents beforehand. I told him that we were at the restaurant. We tried our best to get back to the apartment at 18:00. He replied coming at 19:00 but then said that the traffic was really bad so would come tomorrow morning at 9 AM. We had early plans booked to visit the Vintgar Gorge at 7 AM so I discussed meeting in the afternoon. ✘ The next day, he came and met us. He blamed me that he would be fined because he couldn't send our documents to the police within 24 hours. He said he usually gives a tour of the apartment but he couldn't because we were not showing up. He also blamed us for parking at the wrong place so he was being complained by other guests. I tried to explain but he interrupted me saying he had a CCTV. I gave up.....I shut my mouth and handed him our passports. He left after scanning. Although things are finally sorted out, the experience was extremely bad. He was not organised and messed up our travel plans. By the way, the fridge was not working.

Superb

Unbelievable location (the best we've stayed at) close to the lake, a supermarket, restaurants and boat hire. Very comfortable for a family of three (and would have been for more) 2 toilets and showers. Stunning balcony and view, comfy beds, clean and plenty of equipment. No oven but a good job, fridge and freezer. Parking was small for modern cars but the owner helpfully had a place just down the road so it didn't matter, he also had some honey from his bees for us 😊.

Very poor

The lake and surroundings is very nice!

We were not satisfied with the accommodation. The approach to the owner was unpleasant. The first problem was that we have a dog. On the booking there were an option to accomodate with dog. However, we could not cancel the reservation free of charge. The room designed for 4 people was cramped, and not at all for 4 people. Not one adult can comfortably sleep on the sofa bed, but a child at most. The buckle inside the tank was completely moldy, I had to scrub it to be able to use it. Throws over the sofa are spun, not washed. We have never stayed in worse accommodation. View from apartment wasn't to the lake! We rent apartments ourselves,,, we try to keep everything perfectly clean, I hope the owner will take this remark to heart and improve the cleanliness 🙏…

We found the apartment really dirty, with many dead flies and a lot of spider inside the cabinet. There was no toiletries available, only 1 handsoap in the bathroom and 1 for the dishes. We were 4 people and linen available only for 2 in the double bedroom but not for who has to sleep in the bed-sofa.

the location was very close to Lake Bled, a one-minute walk. We appreciated the big living room, the two bathrooms, the washing machine, and the little terrace on the canal behind the apartment.

The parking, though technically provided, was very difficult to get in and out of. The apartment should have been cleaner.

Very comfortable with a great position, close to the lake, restaurants and a local store but also very quiet. It was lovely to have also have the verandah overlooking the stream. It is also super close to the bus stop if you dont feel like walking the 1.2 km into the main town.

Good option for active travelers

It's a good option for those wanting to go around Bled and Triglav national park and then go back to the apartment for the night. Kitchen is well equipped, tv has lots of good English channels (HBO), lake Bled is stone throw away and so is the Bled Mlino bus stop. Good restaurants nearby. Owner very flexible

A great stay overall

The host was at the apartment to let us in, give us they keys, and to show us around the property. He was very friendly and told us what to do to check out as well. The apartment was in a perfect location to walk around the lake, walk into the town centre, and to find restaurants and supermarkets. We walked everywhere and only took a bus back to Kranj on our last day where we then took another bus to the airport. The apartment was well equipped for our 3 night stay. It had lots of room, a queen size bed, and two single beds. It had a balcony, dining room table, two bathrooms (we only used one), and lots of storage.

This apartment was missing some little things. It had a washing machine, but no laundry soap. We therefore had to buy a large bottle and left it. The kitchen was missing cooking oil and sugar, and there was only a small amount of dish soap left (we managed with this and didn't buy more). The kitchen only had 2 dish towels which were not in the best of shape. There was no cleaning supplies around so we couldn't even wipe down counters or tables with anti-bac after a meal, etc. Another really easy thing to fix, would be the towels. The towels were VERY small and had that rotten water smell (I'm sure you know what I mean). We had to wash them ourselves to be able to use them. New towels are a must for this property.

Very clean, comfortable apartment in a great location

Very clean apartment in a great location close to the lake. We had an extra guest and there was plenty of room for the 5 of us. The living room was spacious for entertaining. Beds were comfortable.

Some hooks for hanging towels in the bathroom would be beneficial.

Overall a pleasant stay in a great location

Location is great, as it's just a few steps from the bus stop at Bled Mlino and from Lake Bled. Around the corner, there is a small supermarket and there are a couple of restaurants nearby, which are usually always busy since these are the only restaurants in this area. Most of the restaurants, cafes, shops, etc. are located in the center of Bled, only about a 15min walk along the lake. It's in a quiet location near the lake, and from here I walked to Bled center & took the bus to Lake Bohinj for a day trip. It's a great base for exploring Bled and Triglav National Park. The hiking trails to Mala Osojnica & Ojstrica for views above Lake Bled are also not too far from here. As for the room, overall it was comfortable. The fan/cooling unit wasn't the best but since the weather in Bled was pleasant when I was there, it wasn't a problem. The kitchen is functional with a stove, small refrigerator, kettle, dishes, & kitchen utensils...although I didn't do any cooking during my stay. I stayed here for 5 nights and overall it was pleasant.

The listing does mention that this studio w/ kitchen has its own separate bathroom. A separate bathroom is ok, but it's just that you have to exit the apartment unit, walk across the hall (only a few steps) where the main door is, in order to get to the bathroom. Not a big deal, but it was just a bit weird for me since when I had to use the bathroom a couple of times, the main door was left open, perhaps inadvertently since there are other guests that go in & out the main door. Also just a note that this separate bathroom doesn't have a sink. Wifi is also available in the apartment but I couldn't connect to it during my stay, which was ok for the most part since I was out most of the day. Plus, I also had a sim card with mobile data anyway.

Enjoyed the location and weather very much

Location was very convenient. It was good to have two bathrooms for two couples.

Superb

The apartment is spacious with very comfortable beds, two separate bathrooms and a big kitchen, as well. We had everything we needed there and the host was very kind both upon arrival and at departure. It is literally 3 min walk from the beach, 1 min walk from the closest shop and very close to good restaurants, too! The location is perfect!

There were quite a few bugs in the apartment. It might be good to get window screens at least for a few windows, because we couldn't open any of them this way. Otherwise the place was clean! The parking spaces are quite small. We were travelling with a bigger sedan, and couldn't fit into them, but if you have a smaller car, they'll be perfect.
