This Georgian family property dating from 1734, has been completely renovated and is approached by a curving drive through its own parkland and is situated with a southerly aspect enjoying far reaching views over the lake and surrounding glorious countryside. The rear of the house is enfolded by a beautiful traditional terraced walled garden with a private heated indoor swimming pool and a fully equipped gym.

The relaxing accommodation includes 2 elegant drawing rooms with open fires, a dining room seating up to 24, snooker room, three separate television areas, and plenty of private nooks where you can curl up with a good book.

The area is wonderfully rural with country pubs and small local villages close by.

Wiveliscombe, just 2 miles away, has a thriving centre where you can browse in tempting independent shops. You could organise a day of horse trekking or cycling on the Quantock hills, take a trip on the steam railway to Minehead, or visit one of the many historical sites in the area. Or you could just relax by the pool and enjoy good company.

Well behaved dogs are welcome and there are long or short walks for them to enjoy over the farmland or down to the lake and woods. We are only a short drive away from many beautiful walks over the Quantock Hills or along the coast. Blue Anchor beach is especially beautiful and very welcoming to dogs.

The price given on the rates for Owners Direct is accurate for 2 nights and weekly stays but the following prices are correct for additional nights up to the weekly rate for 2020

Minimum price for 4 nights is 5,000
Minimum price for 5 nights is £5,500
Minimum price for 6 nights is £6,000
Minimum price for 7 nights is £6,500
So beyond 3 nights you are only paying an additional £500 per night!
