This villa is exceptional. The villa itself is spotlessly clean with everything provided for a comfortable stay; a real home from home. Plenty of space for 2 small families, 6 people in total. But it is the outside area that we loved the most - beautifully well kept, pool is perfect size and spotlessly clean again. Absolutely perfect for relaxing days. We didn't use the outdoor cooking facilities as we enjoyed walking into town for meals instead but the outdoor seating area is fantastic and provides everything you would need if you wanted to cook. Thalia is a wonderful host - extremely responsive to any questions, even before booking, and provided all the information we needed ahead of time. She kindly left lots of delicious items for our arrival which was so appreciated! From the villa you can easily walk into Stalos town where there are lots of lovely restaurants to choose from and the beach was clean and easy to access. The villa is on a steep hill so the walk back was a little harder but we soon got used to it! Supermarket Dias is within walking distance and also provides grocery deliveries on their website, which was great for the heavier items. Next to the supermarket is a bus stop where you can catch the regular bus into Chania, which is well worth a visit as the old town is beautiful.
We simply cannot fault Villa Thalia! We have had a fantastic holiday there and hope to return in the future.

Villa Thalia is a beautiful property set in immaculate grounds. The outdoor kitchen area was a particular highlight of mine whilst my teenage son was impressed by the availability of mains power from the poolside umbrella stand! Inside, everything needed for a relaxing holiday is provided. The host was extremely helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had.
Nothing - it was all perfect. It was a 10 minute walk to shops and restaurants with the return being a reasonable incline, which I guess may not suit all - but nothing overly taxing.

Beautiful property located in the hills but could walk into town to restaurants and the shopping/beach hotel areas. The house had several outdoor living areas, everything one could possibly need was there, the kitchen very well stocked, even an outdoor pizza oven and bar-b-q, which we did not use. The pool area and garden made it difficult to leave the property, so serene with roosters and chickens calling nearby. 7 days was too short of a stay! The best part was how responsive the owner was, whenever we had questions, she even brought us delicious Cretan pastries one morning. Every night we were happy to come back after a long day of sightseeing. We were sad to leave.
We were glad to have a car as we did not care for the touristy shopping/hotel area which appeared to stretch for miles and miles along the beach in Stalos We mostly drove through the country side where we almost didn't see any other people, visiting old churches (mainly for their frescos as we travelled with an art historian), small taverns, olive trees, etc....Chania was also a big surprise, overcrowded with people, we could almost not see the harbor, it was so crowded. We were there at night though and need to go back for more exploring. Konossos Palace a must see plus the museum.

The villa was exceptional… excellent facilities, all requirements and needs have been considered - down to a first aid and sewing kits! You really feel that Thalia hosts your stay. the welcome pack was extensive, and baked goods were discretely delivered over the week. The communication and arranging access was first class, and the villa was immaculate on arrival. It was a fantastic location, felt like you were in the countryside - lemon trees, cockerels, and vineyards - looking onto the White Mountains. then only 10 minutes walk to many tavernas, supermarkets, the beach and car hire rental. Chania is only 10 minutes drive away so all very accessible
