Rustic Cabin in Thurmont, MD

Second time staying at this great cabin. It was so relaxing to be back, enjoy the creek, the space for campfires and hammocks and lounging around. Love it here! Easy access to the parks and nearby towns

This sweet property was super secluded and the most beautiful scenery! Highly recommend!

We had an incredible stay at the “little cabin in the woods”. We felt right at home! Everything was just as it had been stated and BETTER! We loved the privacy and the natural sights and sounds of nature. Everything was in the little cabin that we needed. We were close to the attractions we were interested in and could return, after our day trips, to comfortable rest, relaxation and peace. Although we did not meet our hosts, we felt assured that any issue would be addressed. There was a nice note of welcome waiting for us when we arrived. Our “fur baby”, Daisy, was very content and it was wonderful to be able to just open the door and let her out. Eating meals on the screened in porch, reading and having morning coffee in the fresh air was great. So much offered and just not enough time to enjoy all the amenities!! Hope we will return again!! The cabin had a nice location in a secluded area. Parking was convenient and the property was easily accessible. There were a number of issues with the property that in our opinion need attention: Appears to be a bees nest behind an ornament affixed to the cabin wall near the entrance door; the outside door mat at the entrance door needs to be replaced; the area rug in the living room is curled up in at least one of the corners so your foot was always getting caught on it. A living room lamp does not work. A wall outlet in the kitchen area does not work. The 4 kitchen chairs are stained and very worn looking and did not provide a secure feel when sat in - they should be replaced. There is a banding strip around the kitchen sink area that is partially detached and needs to be fixed. There are items kept in the cabin kitchen area that ought to be removed to provide more space for the personal items of the renter.
