About this cottage rental
Private year-round cottage on Lake Champlain (Mallets Bay), a 10:00 drive to downtown Burlington and area colleges. You will be treated to glorious panoramic lake views, with an open-floor plan, fully equipped kitchen, outdoor grill - Cabana bar and beach fire pit. The world-class Colchester Causeway bike path is just minutes outside our door. Sleeps 4-6 with a queen-size bed in the upstairs open-loft, a full-size bed in the downstairs bedroom, and a full-size sleeper sofa in the living room. Relaxation is pretty much guaranteed. Great fishing just steps out our door. Enjoy all four seasons that Vermont has to offer! We are pet friendly (one dog only, no cats). The cottage is located in a quiet community that we treasure. Because of this, we limit the number of guest that stay, and require that all of the Mills Point Association Rules are followed, including leashed dogs, parking regulations and no loud parties.

The lakefront location and view is the best feature of this property. The view is incredible and proximity to causeway is terrific. The space of the house is nice -- the kitchen is simple (no dishwasher) the loft roomy and the living room comfortable. Note: no washer and dryer. There is a relaxed vibe because of the incredible setting which we really liked! Bikes were listed in the amenities but weren't available - that was disappointing. The paddle board, kayaks etc are a nice bonus but not in top condition. All in all, the outside amenities aren't as well-maintained (ie. the lawn is full of goose droppings, dock rickety and patio furniture dirty) as the inside of the house which was tidy and clean.

This was a great property with a fantastic view of the lake. My son and I enjoyed fishing off the dock and watching all the wildlife.

Great location with beautiful view, but the house needs a good cleaning. Many items in the home were very dirty and dusty. The windows were covered in fingerprints and smudges which took away from the view.
