Great location, cute and well laid out property. The town of Staveley was very pretty and we enjoyed two visits to the local pub, the eagle and child.

It could have been warmer on arrival. I think it had been empty for a while so felt quite damp and very cold when we got there. Soon heated up but might be an idea to put the heating on low for guests on arrival

Perfect cottage to bag plenty of wainwrights, and relax/recover in comfort.

Nice, comfortable cottage. Very close to Windermere. Lots of good local shops/walks

It was very cold when we got there, the electric fire was a good alternative to having heating on,which could have been too hot for this time of year. Nice clean and comfortable beds. The walks nearby were good and refreshing. House is well equipped but we spent most of the time outdoors so didn’t really need much. Coffee and tea bags available

Lots of taxis couldn’t find it on the map but that’s more the taxi man’s issue than the cottage There is no garden but then again we spent most of the time away from the cottage and only came back at night to sleep so not a big deal. There’s table and chairs at front of cottage if you wanted to sit outside for a drink in the evening

A great stay at Fox Barn..

We loved the location as it was near to everything we wanted to visit. Lovely local walks and Fox Barn was so comfortable with wonderful facilities.

The noise from upstairs on our last night that went on for ages. We can't hold Fox Barn responsible for that though. Overall a brilliant stay..

Excellent place to stay in the Lake District--well appointed comfortable cottage in a great location

Loved the location--easy walking everywhere. Cottage was well stocked and very comfortable. Lots of information. We arrived on a folk song weekend, so the village was very lively and fun. People in the village were very friendly and welcoming. Excellent location to explore the Lake District.

The bed linen was very good quality, as were the towels. Kitchen was very well equipped. Location was great.

Although kitchen and bathroom were clean, the rest was thick with old dust and cobwebs. There was black mold on peeling wallpaper. It looked very shabby . Fridge needed defrosting, fire didn't work nor did kitchen extractor fan

Great Location.

Excellent location and very helpful host, great cafes near by location was fantastic near to all attractions and host was most helpful even when our booking was not found.

Cob webs, very tired place lots of spiders and damp smell in the rooms. Very dirty had to clean a lot including utensils not very Covid safe, spaghetti and pasta left on utensils.

A great week in alovely area

The house had a real sense of being a home. It was extremely well-equipped including tea, coffee and other kitchen goods. Also lovely bakery (and a brewery) in short walking distance

Cant think of anything, but its worth mentioning that the location shown on the map on booking.com is not accurate. the house is by Barley Bridge in Staveley, just on the edge of the village.

It was a lovely quiet place were you could goto any of the big towns like windermere it was only five minutes in the car and we went at the less busier times it was like home from home my little dog also loved it ❤

Location was good, fully equipped holiday home, very clean and comfortable, clear instructions from host about the property and lots of information about the surrounding areas provided in the property. We felt welcomed and would book again.
