Lovely location, a nice little cottage. Perfect base to explore the Lakes. Parking right outside the door. Kitchen fully equipped.
There were a few things that were broken or didn't work. I have pointed them out to the cleaning lady as we left, so they should all be fixed by now. But for us it would have been nice to have these things done before our visit, so we could have had a bath, the fire going and no draft in the bedroom, hence the 7 score rating.

Really good location, easy to get to and to park.
It was COLD! I picked an unfortunately stormy weekend in March to visit and the heating was on when I arrived which is nice, but it took a long time to heat up. The heating was on a timer so it was very cold during the day - I stayed out adventuring and sitting in pubs for as long as possible.
As other reviews have mentioned there is very little hot water, and no shower. It's odd because there's a fancy light up jacuzzi bath that you can't really enjoy! (I did manage to fill it up halfway after the heating had been on for hours in the evening, but there was hardly any hot water in the mornings).
I'd say about half of the light bulbs weren't working throughout the house, and the fire alarm was hanging off. No instructions for any appliances so it took me a while to get the cooker working.
I think there was something wrong with the window in the main bedroom, it was closed but felt/sounded like it was open. There was noise from the road and it was so cold, I ended up sleeping in the bunk bed room which was a lot warmer. Again, it was a very cold weekend so maybe not always like this.
It's obviously an old cottage and definitely needs some tlc - I didn't see anyone on site to talk to while I was there, the key was just in the door when I arrived, and a number left for emergencies only.
I wouldn't stay again, it's a great location but for the price I just wasn't comfortable.
