About this house rental
A period house, fully recovered and that was the home of a family from the upper bourgeoisie of Porto, from the beginning of the century. XX.
We receive large families and groups of friends from 6 to 13 people, because in addition to the rooms, we have a large lounge with 3 sofa beds.
The house has furniture and family decoration pieces that give the space a romantic atmosphere from the period, but with modern amenities for a perfect stay. An experience that cannot fail! Breakfast is included.

The space
Perfect space to stay with family or a group of friends (accommodates up to 13 people), with a pleasant garden with fruit trees and aromatic herbs. The garden has a large table outside for a meal on hot summer days and nights and invites you to read or learn to prepare a traditional Portuguese meal with the help of our Chef Lili, who on request, can prepare you a delicious dinner.
The kitchen, beautiful with its walls covered with Portuguese tiles is fully equipped and the house also has 4 bedrooms with romantic decor, 3 complete bathrooms + 1 WC, dining room with furniture and various decorative accessories of the time, games room with flat screen TV, with more than 80 channels and board games.
The price per night includes buffet breakfast and free parking for 2 vehicles in a closed garage.
"Casa Portugueza" is much more than a Local Accommodation, above all it is a space full of charm and memories of happy people who have lived here for several generations. Feeling this atmosphere is like traveling to the past, the golden age of Porto Bourgeois. A true experience that we intend to provide to our guests.
And if you suddenly hear the sound of a piano and someone singing opera, don't be alarmed, it's our friendly neighbor Miguel, a well-known musician from Porto, rehearsing for yet another concert.

The house was very nice and the host was awesome! The location was a bit of a walk to downtown area, but had many food options nearby. The house had plenty of seating and was comfortable. One bathroom was external, so not ideal but worked. We hired the personal chef for authentic meal, very good and recommend. Too much food though!

Marta is an amazing host. Staying with her is like staying with a friend. The house is in a neighborhood that is a decent walk to town...so you feel virtuous eating all the amazing food in Porto. The back garden is such a welcome respite from the city as well. Porto is an amazing city, and I think Marta spoiled me for the rest of Portugal.
