The cottage was wonderful - Comfortable, clean & spacious enough for 2 adults, 1 teenager & dog. I thought the pictures of local landmarks + the oar & turf cutter were nice touches. Although I'm more of a reader, my daughter said the wi-fi was pretty good. If deserted beaches, sheep roaming free & hares outside the front appeal to you come here, you'll not regret it. If you prefer something more lively, Belmullet is 20 minutes away in the car.

Name is perfect. Very cosy and in the middle of the countryside. Isolated in a good way. Makes you feel like you are in the Irish countryside, you are surrounded by greenery, sheep and the weather 🙂
The shower. It was very weak and is the only negative I can think of.

Everything about the cottage was excellent, as was the host, and also her mother who lived nearby. Very helpful and friendly.
The area is remote, which is what we wanted, but there is enough locally, a nice dinner a walk away, beaches a short drive, 2 pubs (but check when open in later part of year), a shop 3 miles way. Several towns 20 mins to 30mins drive away. A great location for all of North Mayo.
