Lovely little cottage in the village of Bassenthwaite. Very cosy and comfortable. Close to the pub and a short walk to main road for some bus services to travel further afield without having to take the car every time. Owners very welcoming and friendly.

Very cosy, an excellent place to stay when visiting the lake district.

Well kept and clean place to stay + the cottage had all the necessary amenities, appliances and utensils.

The stairs are a bit small, it can be a bit tricky to carry large things (such as luggage) up and down them.

Beautiful cottage in a small village, welcome sign and basket was a lovely touch. Well equipped kitchen, good location for visiting Keswick, pub within 10 second walking distance. Everything you could need for a stay in the Lake District :)

Wonderful hosts, a pretty and well equipped cottage in a beautiful Lakes location.

A lovely cottage with pretty garden in a beautiful village location. Very thoughtful welcome basket of goodies, in and out of the fridge!

The only thing was the bed wasn’t all that comfortable in the room we slept in, a few pokey springs, perhaps a new mattress or topper in the interim.

Apple Tree Cottage is a beautiful cottage, with well kept gardens, in a lovely peaceful part of the lakes. it is 10 seconds walking distance from the pub! The owners left us a lovely welcome hamper - very thoughtful.

Everything was lovely. The only down side was that the mattresses were too soft. I have spoken to Michael the owner and he plans to look into this. other than that it was perfect.

Lovely, relaxing stay in a well cared for cottage.

Our stay at Apple Tree Cottage was thoroughly enjoyable. The property was very well looked after and immaculately clean. The owner who greeted us was friendly and pleasant and supplied us with a lovely welcome hamper. We loved the finishing touches such as a welcome note with our names written on the front door porch blackboard. It was a nice thought and made us feel special. Thank you. 😊👌

No private parking but we never had issues finding a space.

Beautiful cottage in a charming village - excellent.

Welcoming cottage in a really good location for exploring the Lakes. Village pub within 20 yards of garden gate. Cottage kitted out to a high standard, lovely design touches evident throughout - everything you could need for a lovely stay. Relaxing bath & powerful shower just what was needed after a day walking the fells. Hosts very friendly, yet unobtrusive. Nothing short of 10/10.
