Rooms at Martha Jones

Breakfast was left in the room, this was made clear when I booked, and it was fine. Room was clean, warm, comfortable (though the mattress will need replacement in not-too-distant future), shower, washhand basin etc all clean and worked well, and linen excellent. Because of its location (on the main street, though this wasn't busy - it's Pwllheli!), the layout of the property, and my room being in the front, there was potential for the room to be noisy. However, it was quite quiet and I was able to get a decent night's sleep. It was particularly helpful of Ruby on the phone to assist with accessing the property when I was still some distance away.

The booking and property access systems could be more straightforward. I accept that direct access is possible only when the shop is open, but the explanatory email with direction s 'round the back' and the key code etc could have been sent when the booking was confirmed and not left until I phoned to say I'd not be there before the shop closed. Use of a booking agency is supposed to simplify things but I'm not sure it does in this case.

Cosy and very clean. Warm and comfortable room. Tastefully decorated. Great shower. Wonderful breakfast basket, tea and coffee making facilities and toiletries. The tiny details really did make it the best.

Nothing. Only comment I’d give would be that the lip on the shower tray could do with being a little higher to prevent water leaking. This is very minor and did not impact our stay at all.

Beautiful room with lovely little touches, especially the Tunnocks tea cakes 😋

The room was exceptionally clean, a good size and comfortable

The location. It was accessed through a very uninviting back door. The room was right on the high street and even though our stay was on a sunday night it was noisey from 6am with road sweepers. Pwllheli itself was a ghost down and the high street was very run down. Because of the location and no facilities we did not feel it was value for money despite being exceptionally clean and spacious
