a really nice and comfortable condo with a large patio overlooking a small pond and the golf course with nice deck furniture and umbrellas along with an outdoor gas grill. Two bedrooms and two baths with a queen bed in one bedroom and two queen beds in the other. next to the golf course was a park called Sheldon Marsh with a nice walking path from Cleveland road to Lake Erie.

We LOVED our stay at the perfect location! The condo was clean, decorated beautifully and included everything we needed including a golf cart! We loved hanging out on the deck. The golf course was literally in the backyard! We golfed several times during the week and had a great lunch at the golf course restaurant. Everything was perfect and we would definitely stay again!

We have made the trek from Canada and stayed at this Sawmill Creek condo both times. We come to Ohio for the children to enjoy a few days at Cedar Point since they are big coaster fans. But you don’t need Cedar Point to make this a trip worth taking. We went to a Guardians game and the Rock and Roll hall of fame in Cleveland…and it was a 50 minute drive from Sawmill. The pond beyond the deck is relaxing with fish and turtles that my kids feed non stop, I was worried they’d over feed the poor things but they kept coming back and begging for more. This time I got to play a round at the Sawmill golf course, which is a beautifully kept track. Pristine. My elderly parents also join us and they love to just read and relax on the deck with the nice weather. There’s a lovely diner 2 minutes down the road that has a great breakfast to start your day. I highly recommended it. The whole place is very quiet and has that feeling of being tucked away from it all with nature walks and a beach on the Lake. But you’re still close enough to downtown Sandusky for the Jet Express and some nice pubs/restaurants. If you are coming for Cedar Point, it’s 10-15 minutes to the gates. This does not change my rating at all it’s still 5*’s all the way but the deck itself could use freshening up a bit, a coat of paint/stain maybe. And the lighting in the Condo is a little dim. But overall you won’t be disappointed. Lovely people with a great little spot. Cheers

We came down from Canada for a family excursion to Cedar Point. While Cedar Point was the main attraction for my children...my wife and I also wanted to see what else Sandusky had to offer in the way of sights and restaurants etc. This property is close to everything. It has every amenity you would ever need in the condo. Beautiful and relaxing area right on the pond. My children loved feeding the fish and turtles in the pond, my daughter even named the turtles. I brought my elderly parents along on the trip as well and they absolutely loved just relaxing on the deck overlooking the pond and enjoying the weather. There is even a private beach to take the kids to on a provided golf court to enjoy. This was my first Vrbo experience and this property has made it a high bar to match going forward.

We were visiting Sandusky for a dance competition at Kalahari but didn't want to stay there. This was the perfect choice - just 10 minutes way, super clean, great space and so tastefully decorated. The deck is right on a golf course pond that is full of fish, turtles and frogs - so it was great to sit and watch the wildlife too. So close to the tourism of Sandusky, but feels like a restful getaway. I cannot say enough great things about the hosts - there was an internet problem and they went out of there way to make sure it got fixed ASAP, that we were not inconvenienced and communicated with us about everything. We have already planned to stay here again! Just FYI for summer 2021 travelers - the resort restaurants are closed for construction, which is not clear on the resort website. But there are lots of restaurants within a 15 minute drive. Costa Azul about 3 minutes away has great Mexican food.

We stayed here before and knew that the place we great. We have family in the area and were able to have quality visit time. The place is very clean and well-maintained. And they go the extra mile with stocking some items. There was a bit of an issue with the TV but the owner responded immediately. This is definitely on the list of places we would stay again. The view of the water is so relaxing and pleasant. And the ducks and geese were fun to watch. Lots of fish in the pond as well.

Beautiful and clean condo. You won't be disappointed! The owners were friendly and gracious, quick to return a text. Neighbors were friendly. Golf course is immaculate. Loved sitting on the deck in the morning, watching the golfers. So relaxing and quiet. Well equipped kitchen, even lots of extras you don't typically find in a rental. Would definitely stay again. The only thing I could suggest would be a floor lamp or table lamp for the living room area, but this, in no way, detracts from this great condo. Comfy beds, great air conditioning, everything worked the way it should. And you have the use of a really nice golf cart if you wish!

This condo is wonderful. It’s spacious, very clean, comfortable furnishings, cozy bed linens, and fully stocked. The lakehouse decor is beautiful. You feel the sunny beach vacation vibe whether you are out and about or relaxing in the condo! The owners are amazing hosts, and really go above and beyond. They were easy to get in touch with, and responded promptly to questions. There was a problem with the air conditioning during our stay and they had it fixed immediately. The condo location is ideal to many activities. It’s minutes from Nickel Plate Beach, Cedar Point, the Jet Express, Sports Force, and restaurants in both Huron and Sandusky. It also has many activities on site. We rented jet skis, and took several golf cart rides around the property. There is a nice beach, and the resort hotel has an indoor and outdoor pool. We don’t golf, but it’s right on a golf course. There are several restaurants onsite. We enjoyed Sunday Brunch at the hotel! We truly loved our stay here. I cannot think of any negatives that we encountered, and I would absolutely recommend this rental.

We visited for my daughter's national dance competition which was held at Kalahari Resort and Convention Center in Sandusky. For less than the cost of a hotel room at Kalahari we were able to rent this beautiful condo. The location was perfect. We were less than 10 minutes from Kalahari, 10 - 15 minutes to Cedar Point, and 10 minutes to the Jet Express Ferry which took us to Put-In-Bay Island. I recommend driving the extra 20 minutes to Millers Ferry which is less than half the price of Jet Express Ferry. The condo was beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. This condo felt like a home not a rental. The beds were so comfortable and the linens felt luxurious. I slept better at the condo than in my own bed. The condo was equipped with so many extras for example: coffee pods for the Keurig coffee maker, bottled water for coffee, all the spices needed to cook, zip lock baggies, foil, wine selection for a fee, laundry soap, dishwasher soap, trash bags, shampoo and conditioner etc. All the extra supplies that are usually required for purchase when you stay in a condo. The patio was large with nice furniture. There was a grill which we did not use. I drank coffee in the morning and listened to the fountain and watched people golf. It was so peaceful. There was a beach and a pool but unfortunately we did not have time to visit either. We drove the golf cart around the neighborhood one night. It was easy to use and well maintained. We met a few very nice neighbors. I text the owner regarding where to take the trash and she answered immediately. Check in and out was easy. I loved this place. If I ever go back to the area I will definitely stay here again.

This condo was lovely--well-appointed with necessities and conveniences, clean and comfortable, close to the lake, nature trails, the pool, the Erie Islands, and Cedar Point. We were able to take several day trips, but also enjoyed relaxing on the deck and walking the grounds of Sawmill Creek. This is a perfect home away from home and Lisa and Ian were helpful and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again!

If you're thinking of staying here, book it now! Warm and inviting home. Close to many activities - just a 10 minute drive to Cedar Point, 20-30 minute drive to Marble Head Lighthouse, and about an hour to Cleveland (we attended a Cleveland Indians ballgame and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum). Ate at several area restaurants, but my husband said his favorite sandwich came from the Bear Lodge on site restaurant on "burger" night. He enjoyed a boar (pork) burger. Ian and Lisa were easy to work with, as we had a couple of hiccups (no fault of theirs - we arrived later than planned and were tired). :) We are already talking about going back next year and staying at their condo. :) Thank you so much for the hospitality, Ian and Lisa.

We couldn't have been happier with the condo. Clean, inviting, and comfortable. Ian and Lisa were very easy to work with, as we had a couple of hiccups (not of their doing), and when contacted them for assistance, they were very quick to respond. I am amazed that there hasn't been any reviews written about this condo since 2008! I stayed at this condo last summer and just got on this site again to book again this summer. I would definitely recommend this condo to anyone! A perfect vacation spot and only a hour away from my home town. I couldn't believe I could find a place like this near me. An amazing condo with an amazing view! Pulling into this resort was like entering my own little fantasy land. A beautiful resort. So clean and peaceful. The view of the lake was absolutely amazing and it was sooo relaxing to lay on the private beach and enjoy the simple pleasures of summer. (And ladies, you will enjoy nothing more if your husband is off enjoying his simple pleasure...golf. :) The condo....Beautiful, updated, clean and definitely comfortable. It makes you feel at home. A place where you feel safe. A place you feel like you can leave your doors unlocked and your keys in the car. The view from the living room is beautiful! A large fountain in the middle of a pond that sounds so peaceful we actually took blankets out on the deck at the end of night and fell asleep on lounge chairs! OH! How could I forget the Sunday brunch buffet at the hotel?? Excellent food! I had to sit where people wouldn't notice I had four different desserts in front of me because I couldn't choose just one! lol! Not only is the a perfect vacation spot and a perfect condo, it is a place to go when you need to feel like you are on a vacation not too far away from home!! Love it!!

-jUST RETURNED TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA AFTER STAYING AT THIS WONDERLAND For The second time in two years. It is the best home away from home you could imagine. Dont pack much. It holds a magic we all loved. Beautiful enviornment, close to everything, families who wish to gather, warm and inviting. We had the first snow of the season, the clean and slick tastefully done decor, The summer is amazing, winter was better for Californians. The beds, excellent. Room to roam, the deck is an escape to tranquility. We will be back with fond memories of a place we would love to call "The best kept secret to be shared with all."

Our experience staying at this condo was wonderful. It was very clean and beautifully kept up and had a lot of little extras you don't always get when renting a summer condo. We made a lot of use of the deck overlooking the lake - it was so relaxing just sitting out there in the evening. Great Vacation Condo/Close to Cedar Point

Our family stayed in this 2 bedroom condo the week after 4th of July. It was a terrific location situated on a golf course overlooking a pond. My husband and 3 year old son enjoyed walking around the different waterfront condos and swimming in the pool. The condo is nice and light with a gorgeous deck for grilling and two nice size bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. All the amenities that you could possibly want, and the owners were terrific to work with - especially with a special request in helping us find a babysitter (who was great!). The only downside at all that I noticed is the trains that go by at night somewhere near the resort. You don't hear the trains (because they are not really that close), just the train whistle about 4-5 times throughout the night and early morning hours. If you're a light sleeper (like me), this may be a problem. If you sleep normally, you probably won't even wake up. My husband didn't even believe me until one night he happened to be awake about 2:00 a.m. and heard the whistles. The whistle sounds closer than they realy are. So just factor it into your calculation only if you're a light sleeper. However, despite that noise, we would still rent this place again in a heart beat.

The condo was a great location for staging of my daughter's wedding that took place at Sawmill Creek gazebo. The condo was used as the brides maid changing location and the locationfor the many wedding related functions. Great location and very lovely.
