"Maat's scouring is actually due to chance. We were looking for a “Scheuer” barn as a storage facility for tractors and machines. The farmhouse belonging to the barn was love at first sight. With a lot of passion and craftsmanship, he has converted it into a holiday home in the past three years and made it a real gem for the dreamy farming village of "Hamm".
When furnishing the rooms, the main goal was to underline the rural charm with authentic furnishings and furniture.
This is how a house was created, where families with children or a group of friends with up to 10 people can go on holiday together on the Saar.
Secluded in the middle of a peninsula in the Saar, it is only a few minutes to Saarburg, where numerous shopping and leisure opportunities can be found.
From Maat’s barn you can enjoy the unobstructed view of the Serriger vineyards and watch the hang gliders that start on the opposite slope, the “beautiful view” and land 200 m from the holiday home.
Lovingly restored farmhouse with five bedrooms, two bathrooms, a sauna, two living rooms, kitchen, barn and converted stable. Ideal for 2 families with children or a group of friends on a hiking tour. All rooms are lovingly furnished with old furniture, pictures and many details from the rural area. Pure country life!
The guests spend cozy evenings together in the rustic barn, feed kitchen or potato cellar.
