    Now, would I recommend this place to my friends and family? No. But if I decide to stay in Hualien City again, I will absolutely be coming back here. The room was clean. There was a small suspicious blood stain on the comforter, but it looked like an older stain and the sheets were clean, and the bathroom was acceptably clean to my standards. Moldy grout won’t kill me. The water heated well. I didn’t bring a suitcase, so five flights of stairs with no elevator was just a mild annoyance. The air conditioner in my room sucked even on its highest level, so I slept on top of the bedding every night. The location is great. It’s like a five minute walk from the night market, ten minutes from the beach. Overall, well worth the insanely affordable price. I enjoyed my stay.

    Writing this on my last night... I can't thank you enough for letting me stay with you for so long! All of your staff were very kind and hospitable. My room was comfortable, the bathroom clean and this is the best location to stay in all of Hualien. I'm sure I'll be back to stay again with you soon. I'm 10,000 km from home but it never felt that way when I was at Xiang Pin Hotel THANK YOU <3

    If you’re fit enough to haul your suitcase up to the fifth floor, and don’t mind checking in via text with a disembodied phantom you will enjoy Xiang Pin hotel. My room was spacious and the A/C worked well.
