    Location excellent - just a short stroll into Pornic along the canal. Beautiful modern hotel with good facilities - recommend!

    I dont understand the rave reviews of this place. It's nothing like 4 stars. Four star hotels have people to help with luggage; some kind of laundry service; edible breakfast. Whe i booked the room the description said the room had a walk-in shower - of course it didnt, it only had a shower over the bath - and with no grab rail, so very dangerous. The beds were ok but what kind of 4 star hotel only has paper cups in the rooms - not a single cup or glass to drink out of. The fridge didnt work, and there was nothing in it. Black plastic covered pillows inthe ned - horrible. But the worst thing of all was probably the breakfast. The scrambled eggs were ckearky made fri=om powder, utterly disgusting. Th fruit in the fruit salad was unripe. The cheese 'selection' - both were hard and dry. And the yoghurt tasted like it had been watered down. I cant think of a hotel I've been on with a worse breakfast. We didnt bother the second day, even though we'd paid for it.
