    The room really is tiny and the facilities are shared. However it's well maintained and does the job!

    Great spot away from the touristy areas and so close to phenomenal restaurants. Loved the active lobby and quick breakfast available there. Nightly hot tub and sauna after walking too many steps. Rooms are small but bed and linens very nice. Fave nearby eats: Enoteca de Olyphant Cafe Bica Rijsel New Draver 4850

    fun hotel in a fun part of amsterdam. friendly staff, clean rooms/cabins, buzzy vibe in the lobby. steps away from the metro and a few minutes walk to the tram. very highly recommended!

    If you choose Volkshotel as a couple, please dont choose the sleeping cabin. It is a quality hotel, but the cabin room is too stiff and narrow. You may easily hit the ceiling. The room is also too cold and the temperature control never works to warm you up. The light in the common area works very absurdly, very bright in the morning while we can enjoy the light outside, but very dark in the evening and we had to turn on the light at the sink, which will automatically switch off after 20 secs and we have to press to turn on again and again. The only best thing is the location, very close to the metro station and the supermarket. Therefore, if you choose Volkshotel, avoid sleeping cabin and choose their private bathroom rooms, which will make you experience better.
