    It’s ha been a painful experience on vacation. Agoda didn’t disclose resort fee that was charged extra. Shame on Agoda that doesnt have a customer service number.

    There is a sassy man that works overnight most of the time (I arrived on a Saturday) after a long & complicated flight (as most go through) the last thing you’d want to hear from the people at check-in is “hold on we are switching shifts” cool no problem, I don’t have any plans and want to wait even LONGER to get into my room. Oh and I guess the complementary champagne is only during the day? Like sorry I have to travel at night.. but I guess anything to avoid $6 CVS champagne. He then proceeds to take his time logging in and settling in before searching up my reservation; I hand my ID and Card over for verification and resort fees (btw almost $300 for a 3/10 pool, leaking main entrance hallways ( don’t be surprised if they’re shut down and you have to take the restaurant path) they say bikes and beach chairs/towels but mumbles all this information for you to purposely forget and don’t even bother asking after the uncomfortable situation and unwelcoming arrival. Room was a catfish online for sure, housekeeping is okay but noticed hair in the sink, stains, uneven floor hazard, very strong scents, balcony faced AC units, room was always freezing

    We had an unfortunate experience at the Upsun. It was our second time staying there (last time under the Urbanica name/banner) and there has clearly been no money invested for upkeep since then. The installations are looking quite dated. It was clear our bed sheets hadn't been changed when we checked in, the shower was still dirty with purple soap scum. Just overall neglect and even after apologizing multiple times, no upgrades or discounts had been offered. We stayed on the 2 floor and our premium room with balcony had zero views. Nowhere to sit or hang = useless balcony and definitely not worth paying extra. My husband is 6"4 and the shower head was installed way too low. Bad design and execution overall. The only perks are that they leave a bottle of bubbles in the room with a beach tote bag and some branded baseball caps. We will not be returning even if the rate was good, the experience left us too disappointed unfortunately...
