Stay at Sayan, choose Uma Kalai for luxury boutique and book the superior room for amazing views! Words only partially capture the tranquility and beauty of Uma Kalai. Pictures can do it some justice. But one needs to stay at Uma Kalai to taste and experience in order to understand why people choose this beautiful resort. If I had to be succinct, Uma Kalai rates 5-Star across location, quality, service and value. There is no hum of hotel lobby music, the team aims to please, they pull out all stops to ensure your stay is personalised and memorable. Prices are reasonable, we found ourselves choosing to stay within the resort for our meals and massages. A special shoutout to Eka, Gusti, Jun, Ade, kitchen chef, spa (Noni, and Ane was a standout), housekeeping (they appear tirelessly in the background and kept our room perfect). Everyday, the chef made special sambal to accommodate my husband’s food intolerance to garlic and onion. It was truly a home away from home: we had a personalised kitchen. Thank you Team Uma Kalai, you’ve made our stay so special and enjoyable.

Gusti n the lady manager were very hospitable. While the hotel is not big, it’s in a very tranquil setting. Transport to town is easy with Gojek. Villa is very well appointed with heated pool, swing, bath tub and steam bath that could open into the outdoors. Bed is huge and comfortable. Plenty of space to lounge around in the villa too. Breakfast while ala carte, is delicious and very filling. They put in great effort to make our stay unforgettable and comfortable. It’s spa is housed in a 100 yr old Balinese house.

My husband and I stayed at Wind villa for one night. Place was well kept and clean, did not have bugs entering our room which is a common issue when surrounded by nature. We had an issue with booking but the villa management did swift service recovery. Gusti our butler was very personable and gave us good insights into Balinese culture and we enjoyed chatting with him. Ari was also good with service. The in house restaurant serves authentic Balinese food amongst other cuisines, we especially enjoyed the nasi goreng and a traditional dessert called Dardar Gulung! Recommend this villa for its outstanding cleanliness and personable service, with just 15mins drive away from Ubud central

Wonderful and cozy place with superb service and comfort. The staff is very very polite and helpful, each and every one of them. The rooms are very clean and very well maintained. Food is super good. Everything was just perfect. Would recommend to all.
