If you truly want to be close to nature and live in a rustic, sustainable way, then Kul Kul Farm is the perfect place to do so. They have the usual hotel amenities - clean and comfortable bed and bath, fan and A/C, water and chips, but without any disposables. I stayed in a hut room made out of clay, bamboo, and grass. The bathroom had windows in the roof to let natural light in but gave ample of privacy. The room also has a window in the roof so doesn't do well on ventilation and you have to rely on the air conditioning. But otherwise, great staff - friendly and helpful. They even invited me to harvest greens for my breakfast that I helped the chef make. She was very gracious to involve me in the process but did all the crafting from the ingredients that I picked out. It was one of the healthiest breakfast meals I have ever had and super delicious - which I did not expect. It was light yet filling and I had a wonderful and energetic day after that. The restaurant is quite famous and I have not had a single bad meal here so far. This will be one of the most unique places I have stayed in - so if you want to give it a go - keep an open mind.
