I own a LPG Gas supply business down on York and travel down there on a regular basis from my home in Newcastle.
I usually stay in York area but as I us business out over Driffield way I was looking for somewhere to stay relatively local to the meeting and having past this hotel o numerous occasions I remembered it.
One of my colleagues lives in Beverley and she was able to confirm it as a great choice having attended on a number of occasions.
Lovely hotel, fantastic and friendly welcome from a really nice young lad and shown to my room with a great double bed that was not only very well appointed but also immaculately clean.
The meal I enjoyed on the night was as good as you will get anywhere and compliments must go to the chef and team in the kitchen.
Lovely breakfast options and lovely grounds to have a wander around.
Would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to any of my business contacts or friends and will definitely make sure to book again when down in the area.

Looked forward to staying at Tickton, but let down by having to wait for an hour just to be shown to table for dinner, a complimentary drink would have been in order, i mentioned this, and the lack of enough staff on at dinnertime, to the receptionist when settling my bill! Also , bedroom floor still had remnants of glitter which the hoover hadn't picked up, not good. The hotel grounds were nice, but traffic noise from busy road was a pain. Breakfast was good.
