We made a super last minute booking via Agoda due to weather - we were cycling in the pouring rain! Staff could not have been any more welcoming and hospitable. They offered to store our bikes for us, which was really appreciated. The room was immaculate and with comfy beds. The breakfast was also excellent. Superb service throughout our stay.

Fantastic views but dated hotel. Reception staff very helpful. Restaurant has a number of dishes unavailable due to delay with a delivery. Only ate dinner on the one night but was very unsatisfactory.

We stayed in August 2026 here. Location is good. Unfortunately you have very limited food options. That day they didn't have veg pizza. Next day morning not many options for veg breakfast. Only few sugary cereals. Bread, beans had finished and not replaced. We were told breakfast would finish by 9am. That's no good. Buffet breakfast was open till 9.30am. Unfortunately place is good but food is dubious.

Hotel lacked atmosphere, the guy on check in was friendly but other than that cannot rate the staff at all! My room was a single room right at the back of the hotel overlooking a roof, very small! Couldn't even watch tv as the tv pointed towards a wall in the opposite direction to the bed? Odd layout! The view is probably the selling feature but obscured due to extensive works being undertaken! Not mentioned on booking! Average but ample buffet breakfast choice. Good location for drop off on route up north and 1.5 hours to Oban ferry port
