    For £***a night I think the accommodation provided was overpriced. I booked a double room, but was given a twin. The room was perfectly clean but rather dated with quite a small bathroom. No breakfast was offered by the staff (and no mention of breakfast on the website). It was only as we were checking out that I noticed that ‘breakfast bags’ were available - but one had to preorder them. There was nothing particularly wrong with the room but I just thought it would be a lot nicer and better equipped for £***/night.

    Was reasonabley tricky to say the least, to book direct. Good for me in the end, as I booked with Agoda, £12 off. There was ONE person manning the room reception, telephone, restaurant orders, serving of meals and taking of payments, and serving customers at the bar area. The room was clean, but was obvious everything was in need of a serious update. Was definitely not warm enough on a freezing New Years Eve. There was no temperature control in the room. Bulbs in the lamps were blown too. There's no lift, so mobility compromised people - don't bother. I don't wonder that there's nobody going there on a NYE, it was dead. So, no value for money, I personally travel A LOT.... I didn't choose this location, my partner did. The following morning, on the day of departure, we vacated our room. We had no idea how to check out. The door to the downstairs bar/restaurant/reception was locked, the door cum fire escape door, was unlocked but led directly into the beer garden. What do you do with your key? Well now...... having looked round the entire property, we stuck the key through a letterbox in a door that was in a bar area. I'm not apologising. There's no breakfast facilities, even though the website says there is - but at extra cost. I think, nope...... definitely know, that there's better places to stay for the money they are charging. Having said that...in the summer - huge beer garden. Food good. BUT DON'T ASK FOR ANY EXTRA'S TO YOUR MEAL, HOWEVER TRIVIAL YOU THINK THEY ARE. £ 8 for two Yorkshire puddings and £2 for a slice of bread......really?!?!
