The Gran Resort Amanohashidate

Nice resort

Staying in this hotel is definitely one for the books. It's my first time staying in a traditional Japanese hotel, although I am not sure it was advertised as such. What does that mean exactly? No private shower. It's not exactly a bad thing, although it would be good to know, to manage expectations. It turned out to be a good thing though, cause I was able to experience going to an onsen. The room was spacious, I got a tatami room, that can accommodate 5 people, I think. It was cool when I got to the room, and I love that I have the view of the Amano Hashidate beach right outside the window. Which also allowed to me get a beautiful timelapse of the sunrise the next day. The room also offers a coffee area with a beautiful ocean view. The room's got ac and a fan that helped with cooling the room and maintaining it as well. They offer robes to be used for when you head to the onsen, I believe. There's a medium size available in the room, but other sizes are available in the lobby, I got a small size and it's still pretty big but comfy. The staff was accommodating. It's my first time setting up a "bed" in a tatami room as well as using the onsen and they were able to answer all my questions. Since the hotel is located on the other side of the island, there are limited dining options, they do have a list of recommendations, although, I came across another restaurant that's not on their list but is a definite must try. In terms of accessibility though, there are no uber options in the area, or maybe only during the time I visited. No nearby bus stop as well. It's just about 10-15min walk from the dock but if it's peak summer like when I visited, then it could a bit of a struggle. So, next best thing, I rented a bike to get to the hotel, check out and head back to the dock. Location wise, I love that it is on the other side of the island, where I did not see other tourists during my stay. It was a quiet stay. It is also a quick 10-12min walk to the bus stop heading to Ine Boat house which is also the entrance to the street leading to Kasamatsu Park which also offers a chairlift ride and cable car ride and the breathtaking view of the Amanohasidate beach. As well as the only grocery store in that side of the island. I would definitely go back and stay again in this property.

We rented a car so its easy to go around, the place itself have everything that we need(parking space for free, great view of sunset and sunrise, tatami room, onsen). Would have tried the glamp accommodation but either way its a great deal

좋은 후기가 많지만 개인적으로는 그저 그렇습니다. 깨끗한게 아니라 그냥 적당히 정돈된 정도입니다. 방 안에 세면대와 변기만 있어요. 대욕장 가서 씻어야해요. 오래되고 낡은 시설이 대부분이에요. 방 안 곳곳에 먼지도 꽤 있고 가운데 전등에 거미줄이 가득하기도 해요. 대욕장도 그냥 보통의 수준이고 관리가 잘 된 편은 아닙니다. 오래되어도 청결함이 잘 유지되는 일본 호텔들 많이 봤지만 그 정돈 절대 못미칩니다.
