First of all, we would like to commend all staffs of the The Funny Lion. They were very consistent in greeting us with their smiles every time we passed by them. Calling the guests with their names give a feeling of comfortability and feeling at home, every time. The foods are superb especially the breakfast buffet. The service is also top tier, something that you'd be proud of being a palaweño and a filipino as well. Overall, it was really an enjoyable and worth it stay and will definitely come back soon!

First time at El Nido and so glad we chose Funny Lion. Top-notch service, comfortable beds, exceptional breakfast, and last but not the least access to their private island Papaya Beach!

First of all the property turns off hot water at night. Yup that’s right after 12pm no hot water, no ice, no drinking water unless you didn’t drink the 2 bottles they give you during the day. They also have crappy wifi. You would expect a hotel of this caliber to have the basics down even if its “low” season. The staff are “friendly” cuz they have to be but barely do anything for the guest. The safe also ran out of battery. A lot of issues for a hotel that charges this much. The location is great if you want to enjoy the town everything is a walking distance. Btw the photo they use to show the “view” they have is also fake. All rooms face inside the swimming pool. The back of the hotel is a squatters area. Never coming back here.
