Swing & Pillows @ PJ SS2

I booked the hotel room for 2 nights, separately, because the booking app did not allow me to change my booking from the original 1 night to 2 nights. I told the receptionist on check in. They assigned me room 212. The key given to me could not lock the door, and I told the same receptionist. He said that the cleaner did not tap the lock with a card and assured me that he'd get that done. I went out. When I returned a few hours later, my room door was unlocked, and I could not lock it. I went to tell the receptionist (it was a new guy), who told me to place a 'do not disturb' sign on the door so that no one would enter, to which I said it was NOT acceptable. He was insistent that this was the only way though I told him what the first receptionist had said to me earlier. Finally he got a colleague to tap a card on the door and it locked. The next day, I went out in the morning and came back in the afternoon. The door was locked (good). My room was not cleaned. I went to the receptionist (another new guy) and he said I had to leave my key with him so that they could clean the room. He insisted that any guest who wanted their room cleaned had to do this. I told him this was the most reliculous thing for a hotel but he was insistent that the hotel staff could not enter any room to clean it without being handed the key by the guest (he claimed that the hotel did not have any spare keys to the rooms!). I wonder of Swing & Pillows would respond to this review. (I have not checked out yet as of the time of writing this.)

Not bad for solo

The place was poorly managed. The stairs to my room were soaked with spilled Fanta. I thought it would be clean the next morning, but it was the same. I would not recommend this place to anyone who’s planning to stay for a short while. The people from bar downstairs were making a lot of noise and that can be heard upstairs in my room in level 2 which was doesn’t have window. Highly disappointed through it is cheap.
