I'm not even too sure where to start. TLDR: Indifferent, apathetic front desk staff; grimy shared bathrooms, dead washer/dryer; non-functional CCTV when you actually need it (my anniversary watch was stolen and staff couldn't/wouldn't help); rooms getting entered while guests are out; and guests flat-out denied refunds after the hostel overbooked. Decent price for the room itself, but not worth the risk or the hassle. We arrived in BKK in the early hours of the morning and waited in the airport till the time the check-in desk opened (advertised online), in hopes of securing an early check-in or at least stowing our baggage away. It took 15+ calls across multiple hours to finally confirm that the place was open and that there'd even be anyone to check us in, across Phone, LINE, and Agoda chat. We arrived and were checked in by a short, pudgy, deadpan man (who I'll talk about later) to our concrete tomb of a room. For the price, the space was good and the cleanliness was reasonable. The shared bathrooms were pretty gruesome, particularly the men's. They've attempted an industrial-chic, polished concrete aesthetic but failed miserably; all the sealant has long since abandoned those bathrooms, leaving porous concrete to harbour a happy, diverse colonies of bacteria built up by all the unfortunate international guests and left to live peacefully unbothered by cleaning staff. Surprisingly, though, the taps and showers dispense water. The washing machine and dryer had retired by the time we needed to use them. Now, everything mentioned previously you could say is pretty standard for the average Bangkok hostel. But the worst part was the lack of hospitality from the incompetent member of staff hired to work the FRONT DESK of this place. I happened to forget my watch, an expensive anniversary present, in the shared toilets at around half past midnight one evening. I know, big mistake — I take full responsibility for my own stupidity. But between 12:30 and 8:00, the watch had vanished. After frantically searching, I went downstairs to the front desk at 10 AM, its opening time, to see if I could get access to the CCTV camera in the corridor. I found the member of staff sat shoeless and groggy on a bench, slowly chewing his breakfast. He was so unbothered by my questions that it took me a while to even get him to call up the relevant people to retrieve the footage. Not one, not two, but five hours went by before he came and got me and told me, "Sorry, the camera upstairs don't work." And that's literally all the assistance I received. It was as if I was a rude interruption to his slow morning, and the bare minimum was done to get me to stop bothering him. During my stay, I witnessed other guests complaining that their rooms had been unlocked and entered while they were away, and wanting to access security footage, meeting the same level of response from the front desk. Overall, this makes it feel pretty risky to leave anything in your room. We even watched as multiple groups of people were flat-out refused refunds for their stay after this place had overbooked their rooms and turned them away. Truly a nightmare. So please, save yourself a couple of headaches, and choose somewhere else instead.

Rating: 3/5 The biggest advantage of this property is its location. It's very close to the BTS station, making it convenient for getting around Bangkok. There are also plenty of restaurants, convenience stores, and food options nearby, even late at night. However, there are several areas that need improvement: Cons: Very steep stairs. This may be difficult for guests with large luggage, seniors, or anyone with mobility concerns. The staff mentioned that they can assist with luggage, but this becomes challenging when no one is available at the front desk. Towels need replacement. The towels provided were already worn out and no longer dried properly. They also looked old and may be irritating for guests with sensitive skin. Hard mattress. I was still able to sleep comfortably, but the bed may be too firm for some travelers. Bathroom maintenance issues. The faucet in my room was leaking, and there was a continuous drip from the pipe below, which kept the sink area wet throughout my stay. Communication challenges. English communication is limited, making it difficult to explain requests or concerns. In addition, the front desk is often unattended, which can make getting assistance difficult. Overall: I would stay here again primarily because of the excellent location and easy access to public transportation and food establishments. However, improvements in maintenance, housekeeping supplies, and guest support would significantly enhance the overall experience. Would I recommend it? ✅ Yes, if your priority is location and budget. ❌ No, if you are traveling with seniors, carrying heavy luggage, or expect hotel-level service and facilities.
