So quaint and historic., beautiful. Be aware that there are no elevators and no AC in our room. The bathrooms had no counter space to place toiletries. Great location for Ave of the Giants

We so enjoyed being in a Redwood Hotel. The floors were so beautiful and the whole place has so much character.

I booked a "deluxe queen suite" through Agoda at the Scotia Lodge. Those rooms are indeed very nice. I saw one. However, we were put in a basic queen room. Not so nice. When I asked the person at the desk why, she said that since we had booked through a third party (in this case Agoda) the negotiated rate between the hotel and Agoda meant that the hotel would only give us the most basic room they had. The hotel is lovely. The price I paid through Agoda, if I had booked directly through the hotel, would have indeed been enough to pay for a deluxe queen suite. In my case Agoda pocketed the difference.
