Location is very convenient : in the heart of Ubud, within walking distance of tourist attractions. There are nice restaurants across the street. Truly a beautiful and peaceful oasis. Our only disappointment was our room: it was big, with a balcony but it lacked charm and warmth; we didn't feel homey. Our daughter's bed was in the living room. Such a striking difference from the welcoming exterior.

This is a hidden gem. Two blocks from Main Street but quiet. Clean. Safe. Nice pool. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Outstanding value. Highly recommended.

We stayed in a private pool villa and, at first glance, it’s breathtaking. The space is huge, open, and initially gives a great impression after a long trip — we were excited to arrive. But unfortunately, the good part stops there. Let’s start with the bathroom. • The shower is honestly the worst I’ve ever used — barely 15 working water holes. • The sink area looks fancy with two basins, but both were clogged. • The toilet is fine, but with no window or ventilation, the whole bathroom (and room) stays smelly. • The shampoo and amenities are terrible — the shampoo made my scalp oily and waxy, and the hairdryer not only doesn’t work properly but smells bad while using. It’s the worst I’ve used, and I’m not a picky person. Mosquitoes are a real issue. Even with the AC on, you can hear them buzzing near your ear all night. Cobwebs near the curtains and lamps are proof that cleaning isn’t a priority — just the first impression. Curtains have no pulley system, so you have to manually fold and tuck them to block light. The wardrobe smells moldy, and we couldn’t use it at all. The bed is okay, and the staff is polite and friendly — nothing to complain about there. Now, the breakfast… It’s a joke. Basic eggs (boiled or scrambled), toast — extremely limited. And even with that simplicity, it takes ages for them to get the order right. Honestly, by the time they figure it out, you could’ve walked to a café and had brunch already. Noise levels are unacceptable. Every single night there’s loud music — either traditional Balinese music or bands from nearby bars. Even with earplugs, we couldn’t sleep properly. If you’re coming to Ubud for peace and calm in a private villa, this is not the place. As for location, it’s close to Ubud Palace — which may sound great in theory. But the surrounding streets are not pedestrian-friendly, and traffic noise makes it hard to enjoy the proximity. It’s more of a “good for Instagram” location than an actually practical one. ⸻ Summary: If your priority is appearance, photos, and a central spot near the Palace — it can work. But if you’re after rest, comfort, quality sleep, and a well-kept space — look elsewhere.
