    Samann Grand is a great hotel for a short stopover in Male' and is located right at the new promenade surrounded by really nice restaurants and shops. Everything is a 1hour walk away. The weather can change quite fast in Male' so take an umbrella if it looks cloudy. Most places nearby are unsheltered in heavy rain.

    The service they provided was fantastic! ❤️ We reached the hotel quite early, around 8am, with all our heavy luggage. Before we even had to ask if we could leave our bags there, they had already suggested it and reassured us that our bags would be safe. They even noticed that we didn’t know where to go while waiting for check in, so they printed out a map with places they recommended and pointed out a few other spots that were worth visiting but weren’t on the map. 🥹 After we came back from sightseeing, we noticed our bags were no longer at the lobby. Turns out, they had already brought everything up to our room! We just had to go straight to the room and rest. 😂 The room was clean and not super spacious, but definitely good enough for a one night layover. The toilet was also equipped with everything we needed. After checkout, they even provided complimentary airport transportation. They helped carry our bags, pushed them to the counter, and even helped us figure out which counter to go to and where to find everything. Overall, such a lovely experience! The service was honestly so nice. Love it! ❤️

    At first, we were disappointed because the room was much smaller than expected based on the photos, and it didn't feel worth the price. The biggest issue was the noise — there are Muslim prayer temples right in front and next to the hotel, and the loud prayer calls, especially on Fridays and five times a day, made it hard to relax. We were hoping for a quiet place. However, the receptionist Balaji was very kind and provided excellent service, which helped improve our experience. Also, the restaurant on the 10th floor was a pleasant surprise it offered a great view, the prices were reasonable, and the food was absolutely delicious.
