    Our visit to the Rummana was at the end of February and was nice, without ever being special. The villa was nice and spacious, but the bathroom was a bit tired and the front door was a little stiff. The bathroom had obviously had little touch ups over time, which is normal, but could do with being freshened up a little. The shower never seemed to be warm, which actually turned out to be quite nice some days with the heat. The staff around the bar/pool were super friendly, helpful, and nothing was too much for them. The food was good, but the mango smoothies were 10/10 every time! The staff on reception were generally nice, but we did have an issue with one when we had cancelled a massage (this was done within plenty of notice and only a short time after we had initially booked it, after we realised that the time clashed with something else we had planned) who rolled their eyes and walked off.

    Slightly out the way but we moved from noisier side of town to here for some quiet so it was perfect, rented bikes through hotel to get about as wee but out the way, rooms nice, pool right by the beach can’t complain

    The room is dated and does need some updates (especially the bathroom shower and furniture). We experienced unpleasant checkout experience. The checkout staff told us everything was good to go with our checkout bill and was later contacted via email when we arrived at the airport that there is a balance needed to be paid else they will notify immigration custom if not paid immediately. I told the staff to charge to my credit card and they insisted to be paid by cash only. So they send someone to pickup the 2,790 baht at the airport. Lucky our airport lounge lady helped us to coordinate the pickup. This incident could have been avoided if the checkout lady is trained to due diligently do her job. Other than that the check in process was smooth and all the hotel staffs were friendly. The hotel breakfast was okay. We ate at the hotel restaurant and the food is average by our taste standard. The pad Thai is pretty good and the margarita drink I ordered is below average. The nice thing about this hotel resort is secluded and quiet. Don’t expect silky sand and calm waves at the east side of the Lamai you will be disappointed.

    The resort is a little jungly labyrinth, with cute little walk ways and fish filled ponds lining your route from reception down to the restaurant,pool and beach access. Really very charming. Attentive and pleasant staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. Good book exchange selection, perfect for your afternoon sun session by the pool. Well located close to Lamai but away from the hussle and bustle.
