    Absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND staying here, especially if you care about your safety, privacy and peace of mind. I’m extremely disappointed with my stay at Ritz Inn Lumut, especially since I paid for a Deluxe Room. The WORST part was the serious security and privacy breach. During check-in, I was given an non-functional/wrong access card TWICE, forcing myself to go up and down the stairs multiple times just to get a working card. Then, the next morning at around 10:00 AM, while my wife, son and I were STILL INSIDE OUR ROOM, an unknown person was able to unlock and open our door. Checkout time was 12:00 PM. I clearly heard the access card being accepted, the door unlocking, and the person pushing the door open. My wife heard it too. The person even looked at my wife while standing at the door. Luckily, she was fully clothed and sitting on the bed, but I was absolutely SHOCKED. We had our child and valuables inside the room, and the thought that anyone could simply access our room was extremely disturbing. When my wife reported this to the front desk, their response was repeatedly “tak pasti, tak pasti” (not sure). Seriously? The front desk is responsible for issuing access cards to guests. Instead of properly investigating the incident, they claimed that perhaps the door was not properly closed. That explanation makes NO SENSE, because we clearly heard the access card unlocking the door before the person pushed it open. A hotel room should be a private and secure space. If another guest or staff can simply access an occupied room, that is a MAJOR safety and privacy issue. And unfortunately, that wasn’t the only problem: • Strong cigarette smell and very dirty hallway • Air-conditioning problems • Very disappointing breakfast, nasi lemak, ikan bilis, peanuts, sambal and sugar biscuits. No proper/heavy protein option at all. For the price of a Deluxe Room, I expected at least basic safety. The room security issue alone is enough for me to NEVER stay here again. Very disappointing experience. Would NOT recommend. If you still think this hotel worth to try, try at your own risk bcs they are for sure not going to be responsible for your safety.
