Residence Studio Geneve Centre Hotel

I stayed at Résidence Studio Genève Centre from September 6 to 9, and honestly, I was so happy with my choice! As a solo traveler, one of the things I really wanted was a private bathroom and a comfortable, convenient place to stay—but Geneva can be quite expensive when it comes to accommodation. While comparing hotels during my booking, this was one of the more affordable options I found, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I actually got for the price! The location is fantastic. The residence is in the heart of Geneva’s Pâquis district, just a short walk from Cornavin Train Station and around 6-10 minutes from Lake Geneva. For me, this was incredibly convenient because I could easily walk to the train station, restaurants, grocery stores, shops, souvenir stores, parks, and the lake. I loved being able to step outside and already have so many places within easy reach. For a solo traveler, the studio felt spacious and very comfortable. The room has a private bathroom and a kitchenette with a microwave, refrigerator, kettle, and dishes, which was honestly one of my favorite features. The microwave was especially useful for me. Whenever I bought takeaway food, I could simply bring it back to my room and heat it up. Having a little kitchenette made the room feel much more practical and homey, especially for a longer or more independent stay. The air-conditioning worked well, the room was clean and comfortable, the bed is big and I really appreciated coming back after a full day of exploring Geneva to find everything neat and well maintained. The property also provides Wi-Fi, which was another convenient touch. The staff also deserve a special mention. Everyone I encountered was lovely, but I especially appreciated the front desk team for being attentive, helpful, and welcoming. They made the whole experience feel easy and stress-free. One thing future guests should know is that check-in is done at the neighboring Novotel Genève Centre, rather than directly at the Résidence Studio building. When I arrived, I went directly to the Novotel reception, where they completed my check-in and gave me my key card. After that, I simply walked back outside and the Résidence Studio building is right beside it, so it was very easy to find. I actually think this is helpful to know in advance because, if you arrive at the Résidence Studio expecting to check in there, you might initially wonder where the reception is. Just head to the neighboring Novotel first. 😊 Overall, I was really, really happy with my stay. For the price I paid, I felt like I received so much value: a central location, private bathroom, a comfortable studio, kitchenette facilities, microwave, air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, housekeeping, and wonderful staff. It was one of those bookings where, after arriving, I thought: “I’m so glad I chose this place.” ❤️ If you’re visiting Geneva, especially if you’re traveling solo and want something central, practical, comfortable, and more affordable than many of the other options in the city, I would definitely consider Résidence Studio Genève Centre when looking for accommodation.
