Very small room

The place does not look like the photos at all. The building and the hotel room both look much older and more dated than what is shown online. The room is also not well soundproofed. I could clearly hear water running from the room next door. The staff were also quite slow to respond to emails. I contacted them before my trip and had to follow up twice before getting a response. The housekeeping was probably the biggest issue. They left uncleaned trash outside my door. Even worse, when I came back after being out for the whole day, I found a piece of lychee on my carpet. I didn’t have any fruit or lychee in my room when I left, so I have no idea where it came from. They also didn’t refill the shower gel and shampoo. The bottles were already empty, and I intentionally left the empty bottles on the floor where they would be clearly visible to the housekeeping staff, but they still weren’t refilled. Overall, for the price I paid, this place was not worth it. The photos set an expectation that the actual hotel simply didn’t meet, and the housekeeping was nowhere near the standard I would expect for the price.

It was a great location and wonderful hotel! I loved how close it was to the MTR station. The views from the room and pool deck were stunning! Glad I picked this hotel!

I hate writing negative reviews, so I'll try to keep this brief: The hotel was not what I expected at all. The room interior was old/retro, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but in my opinion, it also felt musty and unclean. For example, there were discolored areas on the carpet that appeared to be mold, though I can't be sure. It did not appear clean, though. The bathroom was really small, which is typical in Asia, but it was also old, cramped, and showing wear. I stayed in a non-smoking room, but on multiple occasions I walked into what seemed like a cloud of cigarette smoke in my entryway. My guess is it was coming through the vents. On the bright side, the staff were friendly. One guy in particular went out of his way to find a replacement room that better suited my needs after I rejected the first room (I couldn't get a refund, so I had to make do). So, I really appreciated the staff's kindness and support. The view was excellent as well, so there's that. And I quite like Sai Ying Pun for the hilly streets and cafes. Unfortunately though, despite the positives, I would not stay here again.
