Pai Iyara Resort

We stayed for five nights and, over the course of our stay, had the opportunity to experience several different room types. Each had its own charm, but the Pool Villa was unquestionably the standout. It offered exceptional value for money, plenty of privacy, and, because the other accommodation is spread thoughtfully across the property, it genuinely felt as though we had our own private swimming pool for most of our stay. It was peaceful, relaxing, and exactly what we were hoping for. The grounds themselves are beautiful. With around 50 rai of land to explore, there is no shortage of space to wander amongst the gardens, enjoy the fresh air, or simply slow down and appreciate the natural surroundings. One of the little touches we loved was being able to pick fresh fruit straight from the trees—a simple but memorable experience that perfectly complements the property's relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant deserves special mention. While the menu isn't extensive, it is a perfect example of quality over quantity. Every dish we ordered was beautifully prepared, full of flavour, and consistently exceeded our expectations. The ingredients tasted fresh, the presentation was excellent, and considering the quality, the prices were remarkably reasonable. It's increasingly rare to find food of this standard at such good value. Breakfast follows the same philosophy. It is relatively simple rather than lavish, but everything served was fresh, well prepared, and genuinely delicious. We'd much rather have a smaller breakfast done properly than a huge buffet of average food, and this certainly delivered. Another practical feature we really appreciated was the parking. Every room has convenient parking directly nearby, making it incredibly easy whether you're travelling by car or motorbike. That's particularly important in Pai, where transport options are more limited. We would definitely recommend hiring a scooter or car during your stay, as ride-hailing services such as Grab are not available, and having your own transport makes exploring the area effortless. What impressed us most was the balance the resort strikes between comfort, tranquillity, and value. It never tries to be something it isn't. Instead, it focuses on providing a peaceful setting, genuinely good food, comfortable accommodation, and thoughtful little touches that make guests feel welcome. Overall, this was an excellent stay and one that exceeded our expectations. A strange mixture. The rooms (bungalows) are newly renovated so clean and fresh. They're separate so good for privacy. The large and clean pool is one of the best in Pai. The staff are friendly. However, the whole thing is let down by the dirty and dark reception area, full of old broken things - why spend all that money on a resort when the main area is so badly looked after? I'd recommend this place for couples who want privacy and to be surrounded by a fruit farm for short walks.
