Ozio İstanbul Hotel

The only real advantage of this hotel is its location. Many of the main attractions of old Istanbul are within walking distance, including the Grand Bazaar, famous mosques, and other historical sites. There are plenty of places to visit nearby, which made sightseeing very convenient. Unfortunately, everything else was disappointing. The room was unbelievably small. There was barely enough space for one person to walk between the bed and the wall. Two people could not pass each other at the same time. If someone needed to go to the bathroom, the other person had to move into a corner to make room. The bathroom was also extremely cramped. The shower partition covered only half of the shower area, so water still splashed everywhere. When sitting on the toilet, the sink was so close that it touched your side, making it impossible to sit comfortably. The shower head itself barely worked—most of the water pressure escaped through cracks and only a small amount came out normally, so taking a shower took much longer than it should. There were almost no horizontal surfaces to place clean clothes, towels, or personal items. You either had to put them on the wet floor or on very high shelves that were difficult to reach. Even the hooks on the door were inconveniently high. There were no chairs in the room, not because they forgot them, but because there was simply no physical space to put any. The entire room was packed with beds and tiny walkways. The hotel advertises breakfast, but in reality it was extremely limited. Some items, including eggs, ran out quickly, and guests were told there was nothing left. A breakfast technically exists, but the selection is very poor and not always sufficient for everyone. The air conditioning was another problem. In some rooms it seemed to run, but no cold air came out at all, making it ineffective. The photos online are very misleading. They appear to have been taken with an ultra-wide lens, making the rooms look much larger than they really are. In reality, the room was so cramped that I even asked the staff to remove the television because I was afraid of accidentally hitting it with my shoulder while walking past. I would never stay here again and cannot recommend it, despite its excellent location.
