    Might need to drive a little bumpy roads to get there but its worth it. Quiet place, very nice owers, and amazing views from the room. Good price too. Highly recommened

    A bit secluded up the hills, need to reach by car. But very quiet environment, was dark enough to see the stars at night. Hosts welcomed us when we arrived and sent us off the next day. Loved the hammock at the balcony. My room required climbing a flight of stairs to the upper floor but there were rooms on the ground floor. Parked right downstairs with plenty of space. The hosts live in the building adjacent. Decent facilities and comfortable stay.

    Up in the mountains among nature is the beautiful lodging house of Okinawa Freedom. It is run by an older couple who live right next door with their 9 cats who you can see roaming the property. The room was spacious, comfortable, super clean, and included a kitchen and a balcony with hammocks. The owners were so kind and hospitable that it reminded me of when I would stay with my Japanese grandparents when I was younger. Although my grandparents are no longer alive, it felt like I was back at their home. You just can’t get that kind of nostalgic feeling in a hotel. I would love to stay here again the next time I am in Okinawa. Please keep in mind that since they are located in the mountains, you should bring your own car if you wish to go out and about during your stay.

    the owner of this place is a couple and they are the best! we were greeted with warm and welcoming gestures. our room is clean and well maintained, packed full with needed amenities. it was hard for us to leave this place as the owner was so nice and made us feel like home! recommended for anyone who looking for a place to stay in motobu/nakijin
