    Great location. Good sized rooms close to beach marina and shops.

    Listen, the place would have been a nice hotel in its heyday in the 80’s or so, but with age there comes wrinkles and there are a lot of wrinkles. First and foremost it looks very tired. A bit like a mutton trying to dress as lamb. The rooms are comfortable, but the one I stayed in took me back to the late 80s early 90’s. A big thing they need to get is exhaust fans in their bathrooms to allow the steam to escape. If you open the bathroom door before that happens you are looking at a $1400 bill from QFES. The steam from the shower will set off the fire alarm… and I’m tipping it would do that with the iron also. Let’s get affirmative here. The place is in a great location. You are minutes walk either way from the esplanade and its abundance of restaurants and ice cream shops along with boutique retail shops and a few bars. You are 120-200m from the surf club which has a great outlook and serves a decent meal. I’d also go for the Indian on the corner across from the surf club. BYO and Licenced. The other way you have the wharf which has also a number of food establishments. Yes I tried some out. I will give you fair warning that the Thai place next to the Indian.. when it says hot, it means HOT. The pool in the place is small but would be nice on hot days. All in all, my partner, daughter (12) and I had generally a great weekend. If you are looking for a great breakfast place there is a crepes place on the wharf.. again the Peri Peri did say spicy but I attempted it.. I can’t handle spice like I once did. For the money I paid it was good. Not great… but good… but I’m an old sailor.. and the saying is if a sailor isn’t bitching about something, he isn’t happy.

    If I could give more stars I would! Absolutely everything was perfect and the staff were amazing. Just a gorgeous spot short walk to anything you could need. I’ll definitely be back with my family.

    Nice bright apartment in a great location looking towards the wharf and only 100 metres from the sea. Place was reasonably clean but the furniture and fittings were very tired and one sofa had a hole in it. Also they charge you for extra toilet rolls etc when considering how much you pay to stay is a bit strong.
