    Great staff at reception. We arrived early and allowed 1 hour early check-in. Reception only opens 10.30am-6pm daily, so need to catch them during this timing. There is a common area on 9th floor, can easily access water dispenser (hot/cold) with charging station. Also some snacks and instant packet drink available on 3rd floor where the reception is located. It is just a few blocks away from the busy area of Ximending night market, so not too noisy at night. Also a lot of breakfast shops and convenient stores nearby.

    It's our first time to be in a budget hotel located in just one floor of a building. There were other floors with other budget hotels. We didn't mind that there was limited service hours and no cleaning during our stay. We just had to put our trash outside. Self service for coffee and teas was okay, too. There were plus points for the place like location (just at the periphery of Ximending), the staff who were present during our stay were very helpful, there's hot & cold shower and it was safe, nothing untoward happened during our weekend stay. However, the first floor of the building looked sus. The room was expectedly small but clean when we arrived. There was only 1 pillow, so if you;re the type who needs an extra pillow, you have to wait for the service time to be able to request an extra pillow. The bathroom reeked of a weird pickled garlic and human sweat. We had to buy room fragrance beads across from 7-11 to cover up the smell. The shower did not have a proper attachment to the wall, so it sprayed in 1 direction only, and it was difficult to hold as it gets hot to the touch. The towels were thin and smelled weird. We just decided to buy our own towels. The hot water kettle we got from the self-service area wasn't working but you can get hot water (for drinking) at the lobby. If these are things that you don't mind, this branch of Muzik Hotel could work for you. But otherwise, maybe you should look to stay somewhere else.
