Despite the low season, the room was not maintained. The air-conditioning in the room was not cold even though I set the thermostat to 20 degrees celsius. The toilet bowl was choked on the morning of my departure. Even after the staff has checked the air-conditioning, there was not much difference. I booked the room for 2 people and the rate included breakfast for 2. Upon arrival, my partner decided to stay with her friends and when I invited her over for breakfast, I was charged for it. I spoke with the staff and she asked me to speak with their manager the next morning. Shockingly, the manager was absent from work the next day! Another staff, Koong attended to me. She had no name tag to identify herself, taunted me with some policy and when I asked to sight them, she became aggressive. When I asked to see the manager, she went in and out of the room behind the reception and came back very rude to me and insisted me to pay for the breakfast. As I had to leave for Phuket, I paid and left. Wrote to the VP, Sunee Paisaljit-Artorn and the Resident Manager, Sarisa Chaiklao replied on behalf with some motherhood statements. Requested for evidence that the VP has directed her to reply on her behalf, she disappeared. The events were atrocious coming from a 4-star property. Thus, I would strongly not recommend to stay at this hotel. There are many other similar/better ones in Khao Lak.
