I really phenomenal, stay with extremely kind hosts. This location is perfect for those wanting to ski or hike. The room was super clean and all amenities including the kitchen and bathroom were spotless, a special thanks to the family that runs this guest house as they were super accommodating and really kind and willing to go above and beyond to make your stay special. Thanks again guys.

I stayed in many places during my one month in South Island and Manowhenua Lodge was hands-down the cream of the crop! I spent 3 days here and it felt like a home away from home. Tom and Tracy run a tight ship, but it reflects in the excellence this place exudes. They treated us like family. There is a beautiful huge lounge area, an excellently equipped and clean kitchen, and clean and comfortable bedroom and bathroom facilities. If you're planning to do the Tongariro Crossing, don't waste your time with all the other booking options available online. Just book with Tom the day before your trip and you'll get picked up and dropped off at the door. It's NZD5 cheaper too! If you plan a stay in National Park, Manowhenua Lodge is highly recommended. It's "whenua-menal"! :D
