The rooms are definitely basic but quite comfortable for island living. The air conditioner is functional although it takes a while to kick. Within walking distance to many food stalls, markets, the beach, dive shops, etc. overall cleanliness could be improved but for the island it is a very good option.

For A Small Island it was a Decent Stay.... Good Room, Functional AC. Water Pressure in Shower was an issue though.

right next to public market. 8minute walk to MTD dive shop and 4 minute walk to money exchange. water was not salty and hot water was readily available. The owner was very accommodating and helpful with any question or request I had.

I booked based on other reviews saying how friendly the team were here. I arrived in the evening and was given a key and shown to my room. I was literally given no other information. I thought maybe it was because it was night staff but the next day when I arrived back at the place in the middle of the day a lady working at the table didn’t even look up and say hello. The lady who helped me on WhatsApp was helpful in getting me a car from Cebu to the port but that’s not the same as a friendly face on site at the accommodation.
The accommodation itself is beyond basic. Not even a mirror. It’s hard to tell how clean everything is as it’s old. The grout is stained, floor tiles are chipped and the bath mat had brown marks but I am sure it had been through a washing machine so I’m not sure if that is classed as clean or not. Nothing at all has been done to make anything look attractive.
The terrace and little garden in the front was not used and both areas felt very unloved.
If you are diving all day and literally want somewhere to sleep then I guess this place is OK. If you want somewhere you may enjoy hanging out, or if you like things to look nice, I’d book somewhere else. I ended up cutting my stay short by 2 days as I really didn’t enjoy it there :(
