We loved staying at Maison Elle so much! The lobby was gorgeous and our rooms were so clean and beautifully furnished. We had the view of their courtyard which was peaceful. The location was AMAZING great for walking (near Vondelpark, the museums/ Museumplein, Jordaan area). The trams from the hotel were easy and a quick walk away as well.

location is slight further away from the attractions, takes about 15 mins to walk to the museum area, but the weather was pretty nice for a walk so it's okay... the room is comfy and the staff are amazing too!

We all enjoyed our stay in this beautiful hotel, staff were always friendly and helpful and the rooms were very comfortable, especially the beds, stylishly decorated and for me who struggles with the heat air conditioning was a godsend as very hot weather in June. The location was in a quiet area but close enough to walk through the park to the museum quarter. We found' Bagels and Beans', a short walk away, (just turn left round the corner on to Overtoom ), a good place for breakfast. We did have breakfast one day at the hotel and this was good with a small selection of breads ,pastries , smoked salmon and eggs. There is a couple of cafes in the park and if you walk further down Overtoom there are more cafes and bars. Although not close to the centre we found most places walkable and there are trams and buses. I would say to look out for bicycles as they are everywhere and seem to have the right of way even over pedestrians and unless you are experienced cycling around Amsterdam it isn't a safe option for tourists.
