I still don’t understand how this hotel has such high ratings on *** and Agoda. Reviews praising the view or breakfast are shocking. I booked 4-night stay based on those ratings. While the staff were very friendly, the hotel and rooms were dated. Despite staying on the top floor, the view was poor. The breakfast was by far the worst during my 3-week trip. On buffet days, there was nothing to eat, so I had to eat an early lunch instead. On a la carte days, even though I was the only guest, it took over 30 minutes for a sandwich. I was also shocked when they called at 9:10am while I was showering just to ask if I would eat breakfast (scheduled 8-10am) something I’ve never experienced before. Bottled water and instant coffee were never replenished unless requested. The outdated showerhead made me not want to shower. The wifi was slow, and the TV only played things like Youtube, with no regular channels. After my Nubra Valley tour, I canceled my remaining booking here and moved to a nearby 3-star hotel for half the price, which was far more satisfying. There are plenty of decent hotels in Leh, and this one is definitely not worth more than double their price. I appreciate the kindness during my 4 days, but I regretfully share these shortcomings.
