    Staff couldn't be bothered to get off his obviously personal phone call while checking me in! The television wasn't working and they just responded NOT WORKING nothing else.

    Honestly, Lexington Hotel’s biggest selling point is its location, that’s really where it shines. It’s in a very strategic spot, close to Grand Central, Bryant Park, the New York Public Library, and other convenient areas within walking distance. However, the service experience was disappointing. Based on other reviews, I saw comments about slow check-in, and unfortunately that was true in our case. We waited quite a while at check-in with no staff at the desk, and there wasn’t even a sign saying they were on break or would be back in a few minutes. Meanwhile, several guests were lining up and just waiting without any information. Another frustrating part was the pricing transparency. We booked through Agoda, and the listed rate did not clearly reflect the additional mandatory amenity fee ($25 per night), which felt like a hidden charge. The “amenities” didn’t feel particularly special either just the very basic toiletries like soap, shampoo, and conditioner. Also worth noting: no housekeeping during our stay, and reaching the front desk by phone was difficult. We were simply trying to request fresh bath towels, but getting through was harder than expected. That said, if service and hotel amenities aren’t a big priority for you and your main focus is location, this hotel may still work fine. But in my opinion, its strongest advantage is definitely the location, not the overall guest experience.
