The location can't be beat. Walking distance to many sites and easy access to Pena Palace transport. It benefits from being in an area the public can't drive unless you are staying. Fantastic and accommodating staff.

Unfortunately, while the hotel itself is beautiful, our room was a little run down, especially the bathroom which had a broken toilet seat, a hot bath tap that did not work well, the hot water for the bath ran out before dinner, and there were broken tiles around the bath area. The bathroom should at least be fixed (easily done) so that guests dont accidentally have the toilet seat give out on them. The staff need more training. At the reception, we had asked for assistance booking the restaurant at which we wanted to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. Instead of complying with this simple request, they kept pushing us to eat at their own restaurant instead, which had a very different character and mixed online reviews. We ended up saying we would think about it and quickly left to explore Sintra. It was such an uncomfortable situation that we cannot recommend this hotel at all. I have never encountered such unprofessional reception staff in any accommodation and especially jot from a supposed luxury hotel.

Classic hotel to stay in , located in old town so convenient to explore. Do note if arriving in bolt to inform driver to tell the police that you are a hotel guest. We were not allowed to drive in at first and incurred a 18mins detour up to Pena and back! Stay was comfortable but the shower water was not hot enough at night.

Reservamos com antecedência, o quarto atribuído não estava em condições. Foi feita queixa ao staff pelas 3h30 da manhã, que disseram já estar a par, ser um problema recorrente (segundo reviews do Google, há mais de 1 ano, pelo menos). Lamentável um dito hotel 5 estrelas comercializar um quarto nessas condições. O staff foi sempre atencioso, pediu desculpa e disse que ia arranjar solução e compensar a noite que não dormimos, para enviarmos e-mail - problema é que enviamos e-mail dia 23 de fevereiro e a 3 de março ainda não obtivemos resposta. Já escrevemos 3 emails e 1 chamada, tudo pacífico, pois quem atende as chamadas e recebe os emails nao tem culpa, mas a sermos completamente negligenciados. É lamentável para um hotel 5 estrelas, e entristece-me ainda mais por ser um hotel que planeava voltar, mas sendo que seria um jogo de sorte não calhar num quarto assim (pois o staff disse ser pelo menos 2 com esse problema), não quero arriscar.
