    This place is super child friendly. Plenty activities and space for children to play. The buffet dinner and breakfast was excellent. The beef was cook to perfection for dinner. Amenities are also child friendly and one section of the buffet was at young children's height. Onsen was superb with different temperature. There are outdoor and indoor swimming pool. Water temperature is warm.

    We stayed at a family room with 2 western beds and 2 futons. The room was good and spacious. Room toilet was extremely small, though there basically is a wonderful onsen and public bath where we bathed. Nice outdoor pool albeit it was too cold for us. The indoor swimming pool which u can use with swimming attire is 36 degrees so as relaxing as the onsen. Nice kids play area with rock climbing wall which my kids enjoyed.

    I was staying at the junior family room at level 10. The aircon at level 10 is not working. Our initial room at ***was a furnace. The staff agreed to change rooms for us. We changed to room ***. It was marginally better but it was still very warm. We set the aircon to 18 degrees with the highest wind speed but there was no cool wind. The air was stale in the room all night. Given the amount paid, it was extremely disappointing that such a basic amenity was not functioning. We read through a couple a reviews after our stay and found out there were complaints made about the faulty aircon around a year ago. Seems like this hotel does not and will not bother to fix their aircon. There was also little to no customer service from the moment we checked in. No introduction or information was given about the amenities, the opening hours of the facilities, or the meal times. Is it so hard to prepare an information sheet for the guests? We had buffet dinner and breakfast here. The food quality is low and uninspiring. Meal times also coincided with the meal time of a huge group of students. As expected, the children were rowdy and queues to take food moved slowly because of the crowd. The hotel could have been more thoughtful to create a separate area for the school children to take their food. The outdoor pool was filthy and we were basically swimming around different bugs. Instead of having a nice swim, we were having science class with my toddler, teaching him about the different bugs floating around us. We were able to spot at least 10 different species. The lifeguard just stood around briefly and was using his phone the whole time. He could have had a better use of his time if he did his job as a life guard to keep a look out to ensure that kids swimming are safe or at least help to remove the bugs floating around. The only saving grace is the existence of the kids play room, but that also requires the payment of an additional fee of 500 yen per adult.
